Absolutely ridiculous. I would have given no stars, if it gave me the option.

After accounting reviews our credit card statement, they then ask me about a charge. I call the chamber and President Todd answers the line. He gives me the run around saying the chamber would've only charged for memberships or sponsorships and memberships could be on auto renew, at no fault to them but to the vendor that they use. I specifically ask about a $375 charge on our company credit card on 1/6/2019. I clearly stated we were not members in 2018. We were members in 2017 and paid $99/year. Our 2017 dues payment was processed via check. So why would an organization charge our credit card on auto renew when we were not members the years prior He says he will research and call or email me back.

A week later, I call to follow up. No answer. I get a call later that morning from President Todd asking if I had called the Ladera Rancho Chamber earlier. I explain that we had spoke a week prior and reminding him what we had discussed. As he was looking it up in their system, he explains what the chamber is doing, upcoming events, etc and if our organization would like participate and be a member. I said I have a committee and board of directors to report to for approval first but right now is about this charge on our credit card of $375 on January 6, 2019. He said he couldn't find my name, our CEO name, our organization's name. As i'm about to go into a meeting, I said to research and call or email me back.

He emailed me the next morning with this message:
" Hi Dirissy,, I found the charge you referenced and am including a copy of it. It was for membership that is on auto-renew. I couldn't find it before because it is under Dave's name. But it verifies the Southern OC Assoc. Of R' membership to the Chamber!
Warm Regards,Todd"

I respond with "Good morning Todd,
Thank you for researching this. How do we go about requesting a refund?"

No response the next day, or even a couple days later, or even going into the next following Monday.

This is absolutely ridiculous! Even if our credit card was on auto renew, we were not members the year prior so what makes you think it's ok to charge our credit card now?! And why would our dues go from $99 to $375?! What a total scam! After managing our chambers and community partners memberships for years, I've never had an issue like this ever before!
