We refuse to do business with racist companies—if you can disrespect the Black people who built this country, you don’t deserve Black dollars. People of color and Anyone in general, if you’re met with hostility and disregard, don’t beg for a seat at their table—build your own with those who respect and value you. The unprofessional, defensive responses from management show their lack of accountability. I’m proud to take my business elsewhere and even prouder of those who stand up against injustice and refuse to support businesses that don’t align with our values.

Kennedy PM processes applications based on who is most qualified - not who comes first. They verify credit, references, employment, and rental history - as is their right. As someone who receives two forms of income, I know how confusing and sketchy it can seem and I was more than willing to comply.

Jon Kennedy and Melinda have been nothing but kind, informative, and accommodating during these last 2.5 weeks. My mom and brother saw my new place on 4/13/23. They understandably had other people of interest so began to process my application on 4/19/23. I paid my application fee and they completed all verifications by 4/21/23. My lease with them begins today, 4/28/23 at 2:00PM.

Also, I’m an African American female. Please do not let the previous comments disparage you from leasing with them. They’re local, truly kind, and do not deserve to be slandered just because they run a tight ship.

After nearly 2 years away, I’m happy to be back home.

Would not recommend to anyone that's looking to rent . It's a level of discrimination that you will receive if your a person of color and/ or if different ethnicities. After looking at at a condo property my son stated that representative showing the home was rude and judgmental. We were asked several time on income earnings. After looking over that I still made an appointment to look at two other properties and soon got a phone call from representative asking if I am aware of the requirements. Which I had made aware of the requirements posted on theirsite. She sounded very condescending and negative. Would not recommend

My boyfriend and I looked at a property to rent about a month ago. Provided proof of income (I make 9x the rent as a travel nurse), both meet credit requirements, clean rental history. They made us jump through hoops even though I could have paid off the whole year lease within 2 months with my income. They didn't like that I was a travel nurse and worked in contracts. Its illegal to discriminate based on somebody's form of income. Sent them everything they asked for, multiple times. Called the office multiple times. Never heard back. Super unprofessional to work with. That house is STILL on their website to be leased. I feel bad for the owners of the properties. This company is wasting owners' money not leasing to qualified applicants. Don't bother trying to rent from them.

My husband lived in a townhome managed by Kennedy for 11 years without problems, but when he moved out things went South fast. Kennedy kept almost his entire security deposit and refused to provide an itemized breakdown of why he kept the money. After formally requesting the itemized information and invoices for work he still wouldn't send us anything. My husband ended up taking him to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor, ordering him to pay the full security deposit. Kennedy then appealed the decision and so we had to go back to court again. After that court date the judge determined his appeal was in bad faith, he only appealed because he didn't like the ruling not because he had new information to present. He was then ordered to pay the full deposit PLUS an $800 fine. I would not recommend anyone rent from him, he seems to want to take advantage of anyone moving out by keeping as much of the deposit as possible with no explanation. And had we been moving out of town he would have been able to get away with it, since we wouldn't be able to come back and forth for court.

This people here are a waste of time , I was well qualified with good income and credit , 0 issues didn’t even have a doubt for approval , they took there sweet time as I called and was emailing day after day to get them to proceed the application. They messed up on their end and didn’t want to own up to their mistakes . Manager is rude and a liar , told the owner of the house that I didn’t want to pay a deposit as he knows I knew the owner as if I wouldn’t find out what he would say . Horrible customer service do not even bother with this company

We viewed a property and inquired about the application process immediately. I spoke to John at about 4:00 in the afternoon on the Wednesday that we saw the property. He asked me to email him all my information because he didn't want to slow down the process. I did not hear back from him despite his obvious interest. I emailed several times and I called again the following week to inquire of our status and was told I needed to make an appointment so I did. When we got to the appointment we were told that 2 other applicants were already being considered and if they were approved we would be paying to apply for nothing. She told us it was not first come first serve basis but rather a competition to see whose income and rental history was better however they don't wait to evaluate everyone's information to choose a suitable candidate so it is "first come first serve". There was no equal opportunity here. Needless to say we are very frustrated and disappointed with this company.

In the beginning there was some issues with Kennedy Real Estate Management, as goes with many companies we all do business with. However, initially I felt it a personal attack due to discrepancies in my name on all required documents, later come to find out, they were just doing their job, it was nothing personal. Though we started off a bit rocky, things went well. Such an example, the roof was found to have a minimal leak during some rain, they did their part calling the roofing company, it did take a while to get it fixed, however that was again not their mistake or error, it was simply the roofing company who could not accommodate in time, and in the end it still got done, they cleaned up and all was well. For renting in a rural area, I could have ended up with a random Joe-Shmo, who could care less about anything with their rental house, but it was nice having such a well organized rental company such as theirs.
