We had a rental with J&B for about 6 months, and we really enjoyed our experience! They were quick to get maintenance in to fix any issues that came up, and were very easy to work with.

My only complaint/frustration is that when we moved out, I was told we could save money by cleaning the apartment ourselves instead of having them hire a cleaning company. So I agreed to clean it ourselves, & we had family come and help us clean the apartment. We cleaned every inch of that place, and for some reason, J&B still charged us a cleaning fee around $100.

In addition to agreeing we would clean it... back when we moved into the apartment, the floors were filthy. Left black on our feet within minutes of taking our shoes off. We had noted that in our initial inspection. So with those two things being said, I really don’t think we should have been charged with a cleaning fee.

But other than that one thing, we never ran into issues with them. They’re overall very professional.

No Nonsense Rental Company, But Fair. I have rented from them twice. When I rented the first apartment, I lived there for only 6 months and they took about $200 from my deposit; carpet cleaning, painting, etc. But they provided receipts for everything, great accountability. Then when we moved back to the area, they rented us a great apartment. They are always concerned with the ability for the tenants to co habitat and do just let anyone move in. I appreciate the scrutiny on tenants as I have a young toddler, and we are a new family! Great, friendly, and superior when it comes to addressing and fixing problems! I would suggest them to anyone!

Rented from J&B for a couple years. Leslie and Lynn were always very polite and helpful. Entry into apartment happened an appropriate amount- really just for maintenance requests (which didn’t happen often) and changing air filters. When I moved out, I felt J&B was very fair with regard to the security deposit and provided receipts for anything that was charged. If I was looking for another rental I would rent from J&B again.

This is my first One Star Review. This is absolutely the worst business I've dealt with in a long time. I rented an apt from them, and after 9 months I've moved out when I bought my own place. When I moved out I had the carpets professionally cleaned from the only company they recommend, cleaned the house completely and waited for my deposit check of $875. Three weeks later I get a letter in the mail saying they were not only keeping my deposit but also charging me another $695 for bringing the place back to where it was when we moved in. SCAM. BEWARE. ONE STAR IS WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS BUSINESS.

I came to J and B rentals 7 years ago. I had very little idea how to acquire a home. It sounds silly but it was my first time leaving mom's and starting with my wife and kid. The ladies in that office have since day one always been kind and understanding. I've lived in lodi my whole life and I have seen it change alot but J and B rentals makes me feel comfortable in a hectic world. Your home is where you need to feel safe whether u own it or rent it. I didn't plan on this review. And I normally don't do these but when I read some of these reviews on here I felt like my family was being attacked. I just wanted to let people know that are great at what they do and I couldn't be happier with their service. I may only see them once a month when I drop off that rent. But it's enough to know they are awesome people.

Lynn is extremely rude she believes she owns the world. Would not recommend anyone to call or even work with a company like this. I'm not even from the area and it's the worst phone call experience I have had. Honestly after working in customer service for 8 years this employee should not be dealing with customers! If I had more time on my hands I'd take it further and talk to supervisors or owners of the company but unfortunately dont have the time. Dont deal with this company!

The woman who answers the phone is incredibly rude. We asked if their listings could be found anywhere and she said ‘zillow,’ 🙄 extremely unprofessional and ridiculous. Having been born and raised in Lodi we wanted to find a rental through a Lodi based company but this isn’t it, unfortunately. They don’t have a website, don’t have their listings anywhere and obviously don’t have it together as a company.
