I attempted to rent a place from investors. They took several thousand dollars and draged their feet on everything. They tried to rent me a place that was filthy inside. When I asked them if that was the only condition they would leave it, they told me it was broom swept from the last tenant. There were cobwebs all over the place with broken blinds and holes in the wall. I understand i'm posting a twenty five hundred dollars damage deposit that could claim I made the mess. After asking them to rectify the problem, they became very aggressive and upset with me. They started to talk to me as if I were a subordinate of theirs. When I told them I could not rent under the conditions they had outlined because of the potential for liability. I had to chase them down to get my money back. They made it very difficult. It's pretty sad that they insist on certified funds when you're renting the place. But when you want your money back, they write you a company check and don't put the money in the bank to cover it. They are good at talking down to people and trying to put their problems on your shoulders.
