They were so nice to deal with. We live in Phoenix and they had the Bronco we wanted. We negotiated a price we all could live with. Our sales guy drove the vehicle to us the next day and we signed papers, done. Thanks to them they made it easy!

Found the staff to be helpful and made the buying experience easy. The process was stress free and pleasant. Had the pleasure of working with James when looking at vehicles and Payton with the paperwork. Since buying the truck both have been attentive and supportive with many questions regarding the truck, and its features.

On Wednesday 12/20/23 I had rented a truck and trailer to head to Horne Freedom Ford in Thatcher, AZ which is approx 122 miles from where I reside. Had negotiated a deal to purchase a 2015 Chevy Spark EV (fully electric). Reason why I had to rent the truck/trailer was due to the battery range would not get me back to my neighborhood.

Once arriving my Salesman, Ray, came out to greet me then walked me to where the car was parked. It was currently charging when we walked up to it. He unplugged from their charging station advising it was good to go. When doing my inspection of the vehicle I had asked what does the battery get at full charge. He advised 55 miles at full charge. I had some questions that I wanted to check out myself before moving fwd with even a test drive. Ray went back in to finish up with another customer.

1st thing I did was take a photo of the dash once I sat down in the vehicle. Dash showed battery life was at 46 miles with max being 55 miles which matched up to what Ray had just advised. I still wanted to cross reference. I pulled up a video that had an owner of the same 2015 Spark EV I was in. I remember it distinctly cause in the video he was celebrating 80k miles with a battery at full charge of 55 miles. That was the magic # in my eyes. When Ray told me that’s what the vehicle would get at full charge I felt like hey if I can get to 80k with a battery that gets 55 miles at full charge I could live with that, went ahead and purchased the vehicle. I advised to Ray exactly that once he came back out. The main concern was the potential of a deterioration with the battery but Ray made me feel at ease with the 55 miles.

Fast forward to me getting home from Thatcher. Once unloading the vehicle from the trailer I parked it inside my garage and put it to charge. Woke up the next morning and noticed it only had 47 miles at full charge. I sent Ray a message on 12/21/23 at 8:54am in regards to. Later that same day at 2:26pm he replied, “Yes, I get your concerns”. The following day on 12/22/23 he noted in a response, “I don’t know what to tell you”. On 12/26/23, the day after giving my wife her Christmas present, I sent Ray another photo showing now the battery range is only getting to 40 miles at full charge included a photo.

Ray had management call me the next day on 12/27/23. I spoke with Payton Hawkins from their team. He was pretty black and white about what he had to say. I bought it as is and the dealership doesn’t hold any responsibility plain and simple from his point of view. VERY unfortunate call to say the least. On Thursday 12/28 I reached out to Ray in hopes that we could figure things out civilly otherwise unfortunately I would have to move forward with filling public complaints. On Monday 1/15/24 Payton Hawkins, from mgnt, called me directly. He spoke with the Owner of the Dealership and proposed them purchasing the vehicle back from me for a little less than $1,000 that I purchased it from them for, not including my time and transportation fees incurred. So me losing about $2,000 not including I’m sure them expecting me to get it back out to them.

With all this being said I beleive Horne Freedom Ford either knew what the capacity of the battery was before I purchased or was ignorant in their sale which either way has elements of fraud. All I wanted was this to get worked out civilly not for it to go to the public or any further. At the very least for this not to happen to anyone else especially during the holidays.

*AVOID THIS PLACE*
In good faith, I walked into this dealership with my son in efforts to order a new pick up truck. We had been planning on ordering a new truck for sometime and it was a big moment for us, seeing how much the cost was on one of these vehicles. This being our second time to visit the dealership, I wanted to make sure that this was the decision before going with another brand of truck.
So, we sat with the salesman and ordered a King Ranch, 250, Diesel, 4X4, Glacier Grey and a few other options too. We were told that Ford would not be making 2025 models until March and they could only get 2024 models (NOT TRUE). I agreed to the 2024 model and the salesman quickly printed up a bunch of paperwork showing the total costs of the vehicle. I let the salesman know that I am a cash buyer. We proceeded with completing the ordering process. I was told that Ford always did a soft pull on your credit before ordering a vehicle (NOT TRUE) and he needed a signature. I clearly stated to the salesperson " You are not doing a hard pull on my credit to be able to order a truck? I am in the middle of refinancing my families ranch and that would be really bad for us" With assurance I was told absolutely not and this is only a standard procedure when ordering a vehicle. The sales person returned say we are good to go and required a thousand dollar deposit to start the process. I quickly went to the bank and picked up a cashiers check. Upon returning to the dealership I was told that I would receive emails directly from Ford to track the progress of our new truck. We left with some excitement, as someone that has been waiting a long time to be able to order such a truck.
Well, I drove home to the ranch excited talking with my son, only to discover an email from my mortgage broker. He asked, if I had bought a new vehicle, as it had effected my credit and it would now be a higher interest rate. The management at the dealership ran my credit as a hard pull meaning I wanted to borrow money from them. I DID NOT WANT TO BORROW MONEY!!! I ONLY WANTED TO ORDER A TRUCK!!! I did inquire to what the process would be and at what interest rate? I didn't pay much attention knowing the truck wouldn't be here for another 2-3 months and then I'd decide if I would pay cash (as I usually do) or finance. I telephoned immediately asking why did you do a hard pull on my credit after LYING to my face. The salesman started to tell me a story about the guy who could afford a truck they ordered? HORNE FREEDOM FORD POLICY to profile you before ordering a truck because they think you can't afford it. WOW! Ever walk into a restaurant and they run your credit to order the lobster because they think you can't afford it? How humiliating and I actually want to buy something from them........
After being discriminated against and lied to only find out that they never ordered the truck and 2025 model were available. I would not spend a single cent in this dealership. I was totally profiled falsely. I have received my returned deposit. Not to mention all the time it will take to correct my credit report. WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!! Who are these clowns? By there looks? I'd say, what a bunch of high school drop outs that look like drug addicts that only could get a job at a shady place like this
Seeing that I still wanted the same truck and knowing I wanted a Ford. I direct took my hard earned dollar to Sanderson Ford. I was treated with respect and courtesy. It was a whole different experience! The sales staff was so knowledgable and the selection of trucks makes there shitty dealership look ridiculous .....Don't waste your time dealing with a bunch of clowns looking to make a fast buck off of your hard work!!! Life is to short to deal with these ripoff artists. Buying a truck is a big economic decision and to not have this be a positive rewarding experience has been a tragedy. It's a shame that Ford lets them sell there products.

Hard Working Disabled American

we got new tires and had our truck serviced at Freedom Ford in Thatcher. They were very respectful, kind and worked hard on our vehicle. it's just a long wait for people from out of town. However that being said, we will go back because of the quality of work and the help from the service men.
