In the past, Christine and I lived in Clarksville TN for a few years, and in that time, we bought a house there and rented it out using the Horizon Management Company. We were very pleased with how Tiffany and Mike at Horizon managed the house and we continued to use them after leaving Clarksville to live near our daughter in Washington State, nearly 2000 miles away. That was over 10 years ago and they continued to do a great job. The payments went into our account regularly every month and the repairs, e.g. replacing the aging central heating system, were performed quickly and economically.

Recently, we decided to sell the rental house. We had no hesitation choosing Tiffany as our realtor and contacted her one Sunday afternoon. She replied immediately and we got the house on the market. At a distance of 2000 miles away, there was not much that we could do and (understandably I think) we felt some initial anxiety. But Tiffany was wonderful. As with probably all older rental homes, some repairs were needed and she was able to get them done quickly using her team. In the past, I have worked with other realtors in buying older homes, and usually I had to fix them myself or arrange for companies to do the harder repairs. It is not that easy - at least for someone like me not in that line of work! With the Clarksville rental house, to have Tiffany use her team to fix the repairs promptly and at a good price was great! She also postponed the payment of the repairs to the final settlement which I thought was classy.

We felt that she represented our interests well with the buyer's realtor, and sensed that the two worked harmoniously together. We got the price that we wanted for the sale and I sensed a good feeling on both sides when it closed. We understand that the house was bought by a young couple who are thrilled to own their first home and are expecting their first child. We, like them (though much older!), are very happy with the sale, and will use the proceeds to buy a condo on the Pacific coast and enjoy the ocean! !

I rented from Horizon for three years. During my time in the rental, I was very upfront about everything that happened (changing number of people in my unit, breaks, leaks, issues with managers) and the company was very responsive to it all. They allowed me to modify my lease a few times to add or remove family members who wanted to try life on the coast. They worked with me when the water heater, stove, dishwasher, and upstairs plumbing broke. When I moved out, I didn't leave the place spotless - I left it pretty much in the condition a three year rental would look like. When I received my remaining deposit, it was accompanied by the bills that were provided to them by the contractors performing the work and I called each one to verify. All of the numbers checked out and made sense. I would definitely rent from Horizon again, but hopefully in the future we will be purchasing a home from them instead!

My wife and I have rented from Horizon for almost 8 years now. The staff at Horizon has always been kind and professional. Any time the our property needed anything all we had to do was bring it to their attention and it was always taken care of asap. I would trust Horizon Realty and Property Management for my own future properties and i would refer them to anyone looking for good service. Thankful to have them taking care of the place we call home. Thank you Max and Loraine!

Call this place and ask for Kelly, she is the best! My wife and I have rented the same house from her the last two winter's. Had a problem with the stove, new stove in a week. The house was two blocks from the beach in Cayucos. We shall return.

Don’t rent from these snakes, if you do be very diligent about covering your bases. Take photos before and after, keep your receipts for any thing you replace (the fridge that was provided when I moved in broke on the weekend after two weeks of living there, I replaced it cause I had just made a Costco trip. Told them about the fridge the following week day, and they wouldn’t reimburse me for it cause they had nothing to do with fridge according to the lease. When I moved out they had no recollection of me buying the fridge so they kept it, and charged me 100$ out of my deposit to have it cleaned haha.), contact them only in writing if you can help it, and make sure you demand a walk through inspection before you move out on what they are going to charge you for. I remember trying to help them out by letting them know all the chaulking in our bathtub was coming up under the tile and it was getting damaged, never got a response. Couple weeks later the repair guy happened to be fixing up the apartment next door so I gave him a heads up, I come home from work the next day and there is a chaulking gun sitting on my door step. It will be obvious to any potential renters that go walking in there to speak with Lorain or any of the other staff, that there is something very dishonest, and trustworthy about these people by how defensive, rude, judgmental, and demanding they are. Made the apartment immaculate when I moved out every little detail adressed cleaned for hours with my girlfriend, from carpet, windows, screens, baseboard, walls, appliances, etc. and still got charged $200 for a cleaning lady to come in and do six hours of cleaning. Total scammers, moral to the story I was nieve, desperate for an affordable place to live, and had never rented from a property management company before so I got screwed. Don’t make the same mistake it is not a good feeling. Lesson learned!!!!

Horrible nasty snakes....I left my property very clean and they said they are keeping all my deposit, I even had the carpet professionally cleaned, thankfully I took lots of pictures. I transferred to another one of their units before I found out they are keeping my deposit and they didn't give me a 24 hour notice to enter and did into my new rental .....I just moved into it 3 days ago now they said i must move out today....they are crazy luckily I'm a landlord for another company and I know my right. Sucks for them ?

Over the years I have had numerous dealings with this company, starting with the original owner of Pedersen Realty. The management and staff are professional and have been there for sometime. If comparing them to a ship I would say they run a tight ship. Controlled and well organized. I have yet to experience any problems in my dealings with Horizon Realty.

I would give zero stars if I could.... it was a horrible experience renting threw them. They didn't take care of anything that went wrong and made us pay for all of it. The roof leaked and they had been informed. Never fixed it, and it broke my Tv. I had to pay for it. Garbage disposal broke, I had to pay for it. AFTER I moved, someone dumped stuff on the property, and they took it out of my deposit. The new owner Lorain is a bully. She is mean and aggressive to people to get them to back down. They treated us horribly and have made me cry so much on how much they have robbed me and how bad they've treated me.

NEVER rent from them. You will be robbed. She's also HORRIBLE at her job and fakes on visits that you miss work for. I would rather be homeless then ever do business with this heartless b again.
