We originally signed our lease with Osborn Properties and they were wonderful. The lease was month to month and the were great when it came to repairs. When Hometown family Properties bought our building things progressively got worse. The lawn people shot a rock through the back window of my car and should have been covered on their property insurance since it happened on their property but she refused to look into it and even said "I am not sure who does our lawn care" (Really?!?) The rent went up, even though they said it wouldn't. Our lazy Susan broke and they refused to fix or replace it. During the pandemic we were presented with signing a yearly lease. The apartment above us had some leaking issue in their bathroom and water came down through the bathroom walls and underneath the bathroom vanity collapsed. they never finished the repairs the whole time we were there. When we were getting ready to leave I hired the carpet cleaners that was suggested and was told I would be reimbursed. But I was sent a letter that our deposit wasn't being refunded because our bathroom was "filthy". (Probably because you never finished the repairs). The cleaning people did an amazing job cleaning the bathroom so I have no idea why she said it was "Filthy" They don't care about their tenets, And I am so glad to finally be out of there. The woman running the place is a gossip and cost us our friendship with our neighbors upstairs from us. Do yourselves a favor and find another place.

Just turned in our keys for a great apartment that my best friend and I rented through hometown family properties for the past two years. Communication with Dolores was easy and friendly, and maintenance always was quick to fix our issues.

My mother worked with Ms Delores and she was so impressed and out done by how Ms Delores welcomed her she said Ms Delores was absolutely amazing ,this woman went above and beyond for my mother with the lease process.She said she never met someone so loving and motherly like Ms Delores.

My mother was looking to move quickly and Ms Delores advised her to stop by the property for a viewing and if she liked the place to fill out the application and bring it to the office, and my mother did exactly that and the next morning she called and said my mother was approved and could move in that following week. Ms Delores was very professional and on point. She went over all the details about the property .Every time we called are emailed her she would get right back with us in a timely manner. The process was very easy .She made sure everything was working and ready upon move in day.

If you ever consider renting form Hometown Family Properties you're making a very good choice .Ask for MS DELORES AND TELL HER THAT HER ANGEL SENT YOU

I’ve been renting with this company for a while and have never had an issue. Delores was a tremendous help during the application process when I applied for my first rental with them. Although she was extremely busy, she always took the time to return my calls/emails and answered any questions I had. Since I’ve moved in, I’ve had always received a phone call before maintenance entered my place, which is great because most companies I’ve rented from didn’t notify me at all. I met my neighbors shortly after I moved in and never heard them complain about the company, which was refreshing. Most of my neighbors have been here for over 5 years. I’ve recently applied to transfer to a bigger property and Delores again made the process super easy and seamless. Every time I’ve left voicemail, I’ve ALWAYS received a call back. The same happened every time I sent an email. I do not see myself renting from any other rental company as long as I live in the area. Hometown Family Properties and Delores has made my move to Illinois as easy and welcoming as I could’ve ever imagined.

I don't understand these bad reviews. I have been renting from Hometown Family Properties for 6 months now and have never had a problem with them. Dolores is a very kind and efficient person. She always returns my calls, emails right away and always gets the problem fixed. I have never had any issues with Dolores or Hometown Family Properties. I would highly recommend Hometown Family Properties to anyone. The rent is also cheaper than you find anywhere else.

Don't rent from these unprofessional clowns. They won't return your deposit, they will accuse you of damages that you never made, and then they will threaten to ruin your credit if you don't pay for the repairs. Can't bother calling their maintenance guy because he is lazy, rude, and will accuse you of breaking/tearing up anything that might need fixed and he won't be of any help. They will accuse you of having pets even though you don't have any just so they can charge you a pet fee. If they "think" you have someone staying with you, even if you don't, they will bother you to no end. Why are they stalking tenants in the first place? This is one crooked company that I urge everyone to avoid.
