If you you want your valuables stolen from your locked and “secure” storage unit, then try this place I guess. Had a massive and systemic security breach occurring over at least 7-8 months and affecting “many” units. Was heartbreaking to lose some very valuable items. We had multiple padlocks on, which did not appear to be tampered with. So yeah, something very not secure about this facility. When I called the management to ask what they were going to do about my stolen property, they told me that the theft wasn’t their problem and they had no liability. I tried going further up the chain but they won’t return my calls. If you advertise a “secure facility” but many peoples units get burglarized in a systematic, months long security attack, then that sure sounds like NEGLIGENCE to me. I wonder what the attorney will say about it?

Rented a storage unit from them. During the rental they changed the gate code without notification. They don't prorate your final month, but when we said we were going to be vacating the storage unit, they cut our lock off during our paid rental period because they wanted to rent it out mid month. Then they called me, not to tell me about the removed lock, but to complain that they wanted to rent it to get double rent for the end of the month.

Hill and Homes recently sold their storage units to a company called Storage Pro, who immediately jacked up the monthly price. If you have the option, and supporting local business means something to you, stay away from this company

Do NOT EVER RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
Alice and Nancy are Rude, and Do NOT value their long term customers. Our code to the gate has never worked. IF I COULD GIVE -stars they would get a minus 5! Controlling power trip, micro managing storage staff, tell you when you can come and go from their propertes and make you have to beg to get in or out. Especially in dire circumstances when needing to access your storage unit. Scroll down and read how many one stars they get for service. Save yourselves and rent elsewhere.

I previously rented a home from this company and by far it has been the best experience I have ever had with a property management team thus far. Alice was very friendly and I appreciate how much work she put in to getting me into the rental ASAP and getting it ready for move in. Whenever I needed anything they were very prompt. I would definitely recommend this company to any of my friends or family! Very satisfied.

I rent a duplex from this company. I have been in the home for over two years. They treat me very well. The dwelling is very fairly price, and if troubles arise, they are handled asap. I would recommend them to anyone. Alice is a nice, fair woman. She does everything in her power to see that I am taken care of. She has never shown me the slightest sign of disrespect in any manner, and neither has the rest of the members of the company.

Mixed experience. Renting from Hill and Homes can go smoothly. The office personnel can be professional. Repair issues can be handled effectively. It depends on what situations occur, what information they can get from property owners and how H&H staff are handling themselves on that day. During periods where all runs perfect, there is an amount of luck involved. Some issue types get resolved well. Be alert in your dealings with H&H that their dynamic mojo is limited. They will take some steps, but not follow through with power. If you run into an issue they find to have wrinkles that bring too much need for exertion, they may just let you twist in the breeze.

I inquired about renting a property from Hill and Homes around March 2015. They were refreshing. They were friendly, accommodating, and cared what I thought about the property that I looked at. I did not rent from them, but it was such a refreshing experience compared to the sea of horrible property managers that exist in Grand Junction. Property owners looking to have someone manage their property should use Hill and Homes. While they don't have a large rental portfolio, prospective renters should feel comfortable that they will be treated well. Good people!
