This is a great place to live. The office staff is very helpful and the maintenance staff is on top of everything. You have a choice of a Studio to a 3 Bedroom unit. A lot of units have Gas Fireplaces. You have a lot of stores and businesses right by you.

I’m not one to write bad reviews typically but… Renter beware! The people are pleasant, but this complex’s contract is just as outdated as its units are .. if you have the slightest inkling that you may not be able to finish your lease out full term, I do not recommended this apartment complex to you. You will be locked into a contract that you can not get out of, because they do not allow you to break the lease whatsoever, and they expect you to leave the utilities on in your name until the duration of the lease is up. These are very outdated practices, and you would think that in a booming city like Huntsville, there would be more emphasis on trying to lease out units quickly. If you find yourself having to move before your lease is up, they will tell you that they are going to work to lease your unit, but they won’t tell you that if there are additional units that need leasing in front of yours, that yours won’t be leased until those units are. And if they aren’t leasing units whatsoever, you can hang up the hope of your unit being leased.. I left in March with a lease that does not end until October, and before I left, I was told by a leasing agent that she didn’t think it would take but a couple of months before my unit was leased out. Almost 5 months later and it hasn’t been rented out at all, and I’m not expecting it to be. Part of me feels like they have not tried. This contract is essentially a death row contract with no way out. I don’t recommend these apartments to anyone who thinks they may come across other opportunities that may lead to you having to relocate mid contract. Had I not been so desperate for a place to stay moving from a different state, I would have made a better decision when it came to renting an apartment. Just make sure you read the contract to its entirety, because there are a lot of outdated practices that I have never seen before from an apartment complex. Aside from the contract, maintenance is also rude and will find any reason to come into your unit and look around. They let a bird into my apartment while I was at work and gave me a hard time about coming to get it out. It’s just been a complete nightmare dealing with these people. Make a better decision if you can.

I usually do NOT write reviews on places until I actually left ..but I decided to do one today..because I am steadily losing sleep and having to listen to my electronic devices at absurd levels due to a very high pitch sound that's heard throughout the day. I live in a studio, so I haven't any place to hide from it . There isn't any place where the sound isn't more faint or louder than normal... It's always the same.....I made mentioned of this noise on 3 different occasions ...in which everyone initially thought a flapper needed to be replaced ..it was but when the toilet was flushed the maintenance gentleman swore that sound was the bowl filling up (normal as he said). Since then, that noise had gotten louder with a high pitch... I hear it when I wash clothes, flush the toilet, and apparently when the neighbors are doing the same thing because I like I said, I hear throughout the day/ night. I'm literally going to bed wearing headphones. I am still waiting on maintenance or an actual plumber to come and fix the issue ie..the water pressure/pipes.

Lived at highland apartments for 2 years. Loved our time there ... Nicely landscaped, leasing staff and site manager, Lisa, all very friendly and helpful! Kroger superstore very close, which is nice! Maintenance requests were always handled quickly and correctly!

Absolutely LOVED it here! My boyfriend and I stayed here for a year and loved it completely. We had a 2 bed 2 bath unit and it was 1200 and some square feet. Very spacious and the kitchen was a good size. We never had any experience with bugs/pest. The neighborhood was fairly quite and the neighbors were always friendly. The staff was amazing, especially Lisa, we both loved her! She was always super helpful and responded to our emails quickly. Maintenance was fast with repairing any issues we had. Only reason we didn’t renew our lease is because we wanted to downsize to save for a house. 10/10 would highly recommend!!
