19 years strong sad I left it just like I came in the plaza was a great place for pool and other essentials living. Great view and definitely great farm produce near by dog friendly cat friendly accommodating tenant work could use a playground and pool for kids

This is my peeps as soonest you don’t pay them their money on time here they’re calling you, but you can let them know that the remodeling apartments around you and the cockroaches are coming in and that your doors are not working or something going on oh they don’t know nothing you have to talk to the maintenance people you have to talk to the office people, but they are good to charge you their money on time and everything they want their money on time but they don’t get their people to come and fix stuff for you on time. It’s very comfortable to live there but like I said they want the money on time but they won’t come and fix stuff on time for you. They don’t even answer the phone when you call them the nonemergency line and if you call the emergency line, they take forever or they don’t have time or they just don’t answer you, so this is the sickening. I just got a call from the billing department and they’re like oh we don’t have nothing to do with it we’re just from the billing department you have to talk to them. We don’t have nothing to do with it but of course. Yeah they want their money. Also, the lady who called me from the billing department she said she didn’t care if we left a review or not on your page so The lady who works at the billing department because they will also charge you a $50 late fee which I’m going to pay for paying my rent late because I was waiting for their car to place a complaint but since they don’t care I guess they’ll get their Google review because yeah they want their money on time but they’re not willing to resolve any problems

It hurts me to say I wouldn’t recommend anybody to move to Hempstead Gardens anymore due to the incompetence of the so called Maintance Supervisor who does what he like whenever he likes and has a terrible attitude. We’ve been in Hempstead for 18 years before the new management came here everything used to be handled on time and never had a problem of roaches, and rats and we’ve been complaining about our air conditioning they say our thermostat is the issue but come to find out the landscaping people cut the wire connections outside while they work if got fixed then messed up again called no one picks up or busy but instead the super has a garage stop shop cars been worked on everyday of the week and have proof. As a human being and a Veteran I expect better for us and other residents to be treated with respect and our needs be met.

I love the apartment setting but the whole house and environment is invested with roaches and rats. No matter how you keep your apartment clean, these things will always find there way in. Also, the office never answers their calls, you leave a VM and they will not return your call. Call maintenance, no one will ever pick - you must leave a VM and they will attend to your case in about a week's time. Communication, roaches and rats are major issues here.

Thank you for your reviews this helps potential tenants to know the mentality of the management company that's running the complex and I understand exactly what you're going through because I've been through before but I educated myself on landlord tenant law New Jersey it's not hard basically you have a contract a lease that binds two parties to provide service when that doesn't occur a complaint can be filed in Civil Court New Jersey to seek damages or to void said contract lease I was looking to move here but now I will not because I am not one of those persons who will take services not being provided for that was previously made in agreement there's a book out called Truth and renting you can go online learn your rights the landlords do good luck

If you are thinking of moving, think about it very, not everything that looks beautiful is, today was my last day with these people, people who have a short-tempered maintenance person that I rarely had to deal with during my stay to avoid seeing him. old heating appliances and endless problems, parks full of garbage and the garbage container on the floors, it is not a quiet place inside and outside of it if you live on the first floor you can hear everything and if you live in the Second, I imagine it would be the same, so the problem is not those who live there, but rather poor quality of housing and orderly staff. It is up to you, friend, if you are looking for a new home, look calmly and do not be fooled ...

Just moved to Hempstead Apartments and all I can say is that I’m very pleased with my apartment. I went in March to check them out and the Super for the apartments Jose Leon was very nice in showing me the first fully renovated apartment but I asked him for a first floor and he showed me the perfect one. I fell in love with that apartment accessible for me being able to park right behind the kitchen and not struggling on bringing my stuff in or my baby it amazing and he was very nice and attentive on helping me get what I wanted. The secretary for there office was very helpful in everything as well.

There are alot of mice disturbing us. Could someone take care of the dump site in the parking! We have to keep traps in the apartment particularly the kitchen!
Otherwise the other services aren't bad at all.
