Can't say enough good things about the Hanging Out team - they're the best landlords we've ever had. They're super easy to work with and great communicators (shout out to Rob). The maintenance team is great and quick to come out if you need them, including on New Years Day (shout out and big thanks to Freddie and Jaime).

Absolutely hands down the best rental experience I've ever had! The unit was charming and well maintained, fairly priced, management extremely responsive and friendly, and the maintenance team was super quick. I really felt at home during my 2+ years renting. I genuinely feel so lucky I landed with them when I moved to Chicago. 10/10 recommend, they really care for their tenants!

Going on 3+ years in our Hanging Out apartment. The unit is new, updated, and a good value for the price. The owners are nice and friendly people, and maintenance team always responds quickly to any issues that pop up. We're happy customers and would recommend!

I’ve rented in Chicago for over 10 years, and Hanging Out has been BY FARRRRRR my FAVORITE COMPANY TO WORK WITH! They are caring, friendly, accommodating, and fast responders! I can’t speak to their other properties, but I LOVE MINE! Also, they just launched a subsidized wifi program and I’m saving so much money!

In all, highly HIGHLY recommend! This is not some big corporation looking to squeeze every penny out of you, they truly care about their tenants! (They even gave us bottles of champagne for the holidays.. like how sweet!!)

We are current tenants and want to give a shoutout to the Hanging Out team. My wife had major surgery this week, and at the worst possible time, our hot water tank stopped working. Understanding the urgency of the matter, the management team had a new tank delivered within ONE HOUR and installed within three hours. Thank you Rob for your prompt communication and Jaime for setting it up, among other things. Separately, big thanks to Freddie for his work on getting this unit in great shape for us when we moved in.

Happy with my experience renting from Hanging Out! They are responsive and attentive, and have been quick to fix any issues that have popped up. They also provide a monthly cleaning for the shared stairwell, so the overall upkeep is good. Our unit is spacious and updated, and the surrounding area is great. We plan to continue resigning until we have to leave the neighborhood!

Renting with Hanging Out was overall a great experience! Incredible location, timely maintenance response, and kind team. We mainly communicated with Rob and he was always responsive and understanding. Would rent again if we’re looking for places in Bucktown/Wickerpark!
