Best thing I ever did was fire griffon management from managing my house. Why pay them almost 2k a year for what? Go by the house once a year and do a inspection.oh and they put rent in my account. I do my own inspection and tenant sends me check. While working on my house fixing the damage that was caused by tenant while griffon was supposed to be taking care of my house i had 5 different people stop by asking to rent house. The tenant i have living in house is the best and no longer wasting money each month paying griffon to basically do nothing.

I want to start off by saying the staff that work for this management company Yvette Brianna are the two that I dealt with these two women are liars. They’re very shady. They take all these people money for applications running process most of the time they will not even run the application. They rack up all this fee money but they know who they’re gonna rent to. It happened to me a couple days ago for your own good do not trust this management company and they will not let you meet or talk to the owner because they run stuff the way they want to run it selective units to and please don’t think I’m upset arm writing to bash this management personnel. I just don’t want to see it. Keep happening to other people and for their hard earn more money. good luck to everyone who are in search for housing but again do not trust them to women. I don’t know about the other ones but Yvette and Brianna are no good. Trust me.

If I could rate this management company a zero I would!
I’m so shocked by how unprofessional and unhelpful this company has been since moving into the apartments they managed.
They don’t call back when they say they will, they are extremely unhelpful and unorganized in their office.
It took me 2 almost 3 months to get any answers about my deposit because they sent it to the address I gave them but they forgot to include the unit number so it got sent back to them and instead of calling me they sent it to the address of the property they managed which is beyond me why they would do that when I no longer lived there and finally when they told me I could pick up my deposit I drive over 30 minutes after they called because I was at the grocery store there was no one in the office. I called 6 times no answer, and no one told me a time frame when they wouldn’t be in the office.
Finally I come (same day) to get my deposit and when I opened the letter it was ONLY A BILL..
They charged me $596 to paint fill walls and clean the carpets/clean when I was told I can self clean carpet and apartment!
And low and behold the remainder check wasn’t in the envelope. I can’t believe they had the audacity to not give me my balance after making me jump through hoops for months.
They sent me away and said “our broker is in a meeting and has to give you a call”
It has been an absolute nightmare getting my deposit back. And I have yet to get it.

If I could rate 0, I would. Horrible experience while attempting to submit my application for a rental. They do not work with you at all when it comes to your own working schedule even as much as you try to meet them half ways. I was cancelled for my application appointment twice on very last minute notice after already taking the time off work each time to meet THEIR needs and not being flexible with me afterwards to prevent me from having to take time off so suddenly from work again. Yvette was very unprofessional and rude each time I spoke to her. Another woman I spoke to, whose name I cant remember, was also very rude and would not let me explain my concerns and kept talking over me while I was not even being rude to her. Very upsetting to see that people are not helpful at all now a days.

I inherited a house that griffon managed. Tenant who lived in house worked for a griffon management company. Grass was always dead yard looked terrible. I was always afraid of what inside looked like I would complain to julio and he would tell tenant to water. For a month he would water then he would stop again. I would complain to julio and I asked him didnt you notice yard is dying again. He said no because they only go by house once a year for annual inspection. I dont believe they even did annual inspection because when tenant moved out house was destroyed. Even the man who did the move out inspection stated house is destroyed and just full of trash. Griffon received thousands of dollars for manageing property over the years and I received a destroyed house. Owner of griffon knew house was destroyed because she did last inspection because she fired julio who use to supposedly do inspection. She sent me pictures saying you won't be happy said you need to kick tenant out. I said but. Iam waiting for my covid landlord relief check. Sandra in office told me he was signing paperwork 4 months ago. I was then informed by veronica griffons owner that tenant never came in to sign paperwork. I had even sent 2 emails to sandra asking status and timeframe when I should get my money. She ignored me and admitted to veronica that she did receive but ignored my emails. She was also let go. Veronica the owner was very apologetic at the time said she would help me with my future management fees. But that changed she told me more then once that my property had no value to her because now rent was not coming in and Griffon was not getting paid any fees because tenant was not paying rent because of covid The tenant her employee did finally sign the forms because I told her to tell him if he does not sign in one week we will start the eviction for damaging my property. Veronica could not get him to sign for over 4 months I got him to sign in one week. Anyways months later we do get a check. Guess what veronica knowing my house is destroyed did not help me with management fees but took her full amount. I also lost out on 7 months of rent. People who have seen the condition if my house cannot believe I had a management company. This is long term damage. Tenant was here 12 years. Almost everything broken holes in walls broken windows no toilet in front bathroom you name it and years of dirt and neglect

Made Appt to view property on Aug 14th. Had to make another Appt to submit application on Aug 17th. Submitted everything that was required. Was notified One week later we were approved (Aug 25). We had asked them to expedite bc we were approved for another house. No urgency at all. I asked if we could view property one last time for furniture and appliance measurements before we put holding deposit down within 48 hours. Never heard from them. Called Aug 28th and they claimed they reached out multiple times and moved forward with a different applicant. I even verified my phone number with a woman who processes the applications. Very rude, dishonest and no urgency and no empathy. Glad we already put a holding deposit down on another property which we liked more. Stay away from this company.

Spoke with LEO on the phone...very RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL
Received a notice that someone would check my smoke detectors in two weeks. Called to inform them that date would not work for me and I would like to reschedule because I am a full-time registered nurse working night shift and therefore sleeping during the day. He immediately became defensive and stated that two weeks was plenty of time for a notice. I simply asked to reschedule, not cancel. He went on to say “I will let the landlord know that you don’t comply” wrong choice of word....I certainly do comply and want to have the annual inspection, I just cannot work it out for that day. He again told me that two weeks was enough time....I cannot call off work for a smoke detector test in the middle of the day. I like the unit...it’s great for my season of life, but any communication that I’ve done with the griffin management group has been a very poor experience for me. Disappointed in their management because the unit itself is great.
