The situation with the malfunctioning of the sports pool at 120 Newington Irvine 92618 is completely unacceptable! Either the pool heater is not working, and our swimming sessions, which we pay for, are canceled, or, yet again, the chlorine levels are off the charts, causing rashes on our kids after practice and making it hard for them to breathe during training! When will these issues be resolved? Who will take responsibility for this? The HOA or the company maintaining the pool? We, as community residents, diligently pay all the fees every month! We want our children to stay healthy and not get sick!

Million dollar homes with extremely hard water and poor maintenance.
After living here for years, we found out that the water was causing us health concerns, since it is hard, with no required water filtration system for builders so our home did not come with one and so without knowing much of it, we lived here without thinking much about water, the one thing we use and consume daily.
I do not recommend moving here without an expensive water filtration system before it is too late and your health is now ruined by it

It's a great idea to have free rides until the end of summer. The organizers did well. Free concerts are also a wonderful idea of the organizers. Uniting families and allowing the ice to meet according to interests! Great!

Love this master plan community. Only thing houses are a little too close together for the $. I know in CA a lot of places are like this but being originally from East Coast, we’re use to more space in between houses and bigger back yards. It is beautiful though and clean. There are plenty of amenities.

Been living here for two years now, the neighborhood is a mess...they only groom the outside patches of grass and leave the inside un-done and bald. Also, there are never any poop bags in the dispenser, we always bring our own but others will leave their dogs poops everywhere, very gross.
Also, everyone here is Chinese speaker, just walk around the park and you will see.
Overall dirty and very stingy HOA to say the least...

My wife & I love this place! We've been living here for two years now and cannot imagine living anywhere else.

To the others who have read about retail: I've been attending a lot of our HOA and City of Irvine announcements. They are expecting it to be done by Q1 2026. Whether that is true or not, at least we have an expected date.

I'm very excited to see the development of GPN.

A lawless neighborhood for vehicles with nice amenities like parks and pools. Pedestrians can improve their awareness skills with the high volume of speeding e-bikes and cars as all traffic rules are optional. It's probably because there is no police here, but you get to pay a fee for security to drive around. They don't do anything, but it's a nice perk to pay extra for nothing.

This neighborhood also doesn't have any retail (e.g. groceries, restaurants...) so you get to visit other neighborhoods. You actually do technically pay for the development of retail in GPN as part of your mello roos, but of course, that payment is also basically for nothing since retail has been deprioritized for quite a few years now.

Another big feature is the Great Park Sports Park. We get to pay for this too! They have facilities like soccer fields and tennis courts. It's open to the public and there's no online booking or status...so you can just show up, wait some time, and go home. It's a nice feature since if you buy a house here, you're already very close. This way, you only waste about 15 minutes to know that you can't use the facilities due to max allocation.

This is a great community. When I first time came here, I love here. The sightseeing is beautiful and wonderful. All houses and condos are equipped with high efficient, environment friendly heat pump air conditioner, as well as solar system. It is a great green community.
