My wife and I recently purchased a house with Glen as our agent and we couldn’t recommend him more enthusiastically to anyone looking for a home in Marin. He’s an incredible agent who adds a ton of value, works hard for his clients, and perhaps most importantly, he’s someone we really enjoyed spending time with. I hope we stay in our new house forever, but if we don’t, we will absolutely give Glen a call the moment we start to think about selling.

We first started looking to buy a house in Marin in mid-2020 and looked at homes with three different agents over the course of several months. All three were either flaky and unresponsive or trying to push us to buy homes we didn’t like in places we didn’t want to live. The experience was so discouraging that we hit pause on our search and signed a lease in Mill Valley. A year later, we started to dip our toes back into the crazy Marin housing market and stopped by a few open houses just for fun. At one of those, we struck up a conversation with the friendly agent hosting the open house and liked him so much that we soon reached out to him to work as our agent. That was Glen.

Over the next several months, we spent untold hours with Glen in person and on the phone. He couldn’t have been more different from the agents we’d work with before. He took the time early on to give us a tour of his favorite neighborhoods in the parts of Southern Marin we were considering, which was extremely helpful for us, as relative newcomers to the area. Glen was always responsive whenever we needed him to be—even when on vacation. But he also intuitively knew when to give us space when we needed it. Our other agents had sometimes felt more like the sellers’ agent than ours. But Glen clearly wanted to help us reach the right decision for us while offering his helpful and informative perspective. He repeatedly reminded us that he was happy to help us with our search regardless of whether it took a month or two years. Thankfully, we didn’t put that to the test, but I never doubted that Glen meant it.

When we found a place we liked, Glen added a ton of value at every step from touring the home to reviewing the disclosures to making an offer (or deciding not to). Part of Glen’s value comes from his experience with construction, which helped us think through potential renovations but also made us much more confident in assessing potential homes, particularly in a market like Marin, where buyers are often forced to waive contingencies in order to be competitive.

Searching for a home in Marin is no one’s idea of fun, but we sort of miss it just because of how much we liked Glen. But Glen’s persona is also part of what makes him so good at what he does. He’s got friendly relationships with all his peers and his calm, even-keeled demeanor was a huge asset in the multiple bidding wars in which we found ourselves.

In short, unlike anyone else we have worked with, Glen always felt like OUR agent: someone who had our best interests at heart and worked really hard to get us a house we liked in a place we wanted to live at a price that made sense.
