This monopoly on trash pickup has made life on our farm miserable. We pay more for only every other week pickup. There are erratic changes in what will get picked up with no communication about the Canadian company's "policies". Sometimes they pickup bagged trash next to the cans, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they pickup all 4 of our trash cans, sometimes they don't.

I called today after only having their trashcan emptied and found out that the company has a strict policy of only picking up their own trashcans and there are cameras on the trucks now to monitor their employees (who I sympathize with for being treated this way) who get in trouble if they pickup anything else. She said we can pay an additional $3.50 per can per month up to a max of 3 or get a dumpster. This is the first I heard of any of this, and I wanted to just pay more - but they won't do an additional pickup so I have to wait at least 14 days to get the remaining trash picked up in 90+ degree weather.

Talk to your elected officials about this lousy monopoly deal they worked out with Canada and throw them out of this Lincoln-wide kickback scheme.

They did not pick up my garbage this week for whatever reason. I called Thursday and complained they said they were guaranteeing me they were going to send somebody out Thursday evening or Friday to get it. Here it is Saturday my garbage can is still full if you promise to get it, get it.

Absolutely horrible service. I live in a rural area where farm equipment passes down my road regularly. Because of that I keep my rolling can 6’ away from road. Driver is constantly complaining and refusing to roll can 6’ and pick up. If he does pick up then he leaves the can half in the road instead of rolling it back 6’ to its original location. I have spoke with and sent emails for the last 5 years about this only to be ignored. Customer service is non existent with this company.

Horrible customer service. My street continues to be missed for pick up-the most recent being 5/24. I called (528) and was told it would be the next day, no one came. Called again (5/29) and was told it would be 2 days later. Nothing happened. Called a 3rd time (5/31) and had to leave a message. No call back. Called a 4th time (6/3) and was told nothing could be done until our normal pick up day. Customer service person interrupted me to tell me I'm not charged for the service anyway. Very rude, did not see a problem in the waste piling up for over 2 weeks. If we could change companies we would.

UPDATE: at 1:30 in the afternoon on the day of the 4th call (6/3) an AREA truck pulled up to my house. The driver sat there for a few minutes and then moved on, without taking any of our garbage. Today, (6/4) I received a call, asking if anything was picked up yesterday. When I told them no, they did not understand and said they would speak to the driver, but there was nothing they could probably do since it was due to be picked up on Friday.

Long time customer with Area Disposal, GFL took over and now charges $165 for 3months service which only picks up once every other week and only allows for one container where Area picked up three containers. GFL took one of my containers today. No other pickup service in the area.

I am very disappointed in the "service" this company provides. They miss pick ups, then when you call customer service you get a litany of excuses and outright lies about another pick up to rectify the missed pickup. You don't get full service, but you have to pay for full service. They say they will discount the bill, but lied on that too. The only way these people stay in business is because there are no other providers in the area. Very frustrating and truly disgusting that this is their approach to resolving issues.

I have to use this company due to The city of Lincoln discontinuing my service with Advanced Disposal. Never mind that didn't even notify me, or bring replacement trash cans! But wait, pay your bill and they weren't notified in time to pick up trash so you have to wait another week. How, I paid and have a confirmation # during normal business hours! I'm about to say keep your service and I'll burn my trash! I might just bring it to your company and drop it off since I'm a paying customer!
GFL I most certainly don't a reply from you, I've seen the star count and went through the reviews! It speaks for itself!
