I wanted to update my review. Will Coles, the Operations Manager for Tennessee/Alabama area called me this morning to get my side of the story. He then called the others, or whoever he needed to speak with and get their side of the story. He called me back promptly in one hour and let us know that they have approved our pool. Thank you Will for being the voice of reasoning and getting everything taken care of.

The builder and its agents and employees are dishonest. Everyone involved in this process for us was well aware that we wanted a pool. We were told by two employees of Richmond d American Homes that we could do a in ground pool or an above ground pool. Because of the septic tank and lines an in ground pool was not recommended. We opted for the above ground pool. The builders, who currently govern our HOA and makes decisions denied the pool and said above ground pools were not allowed. There is nothing in our covenants that cover pools/fences/sheds. I spoke with the HOA and she said that the builder can decide anything. I also asked to speak with the builder who made the decision and she stated they declined to speak with me and that they do not have to. Then she hung up on me. I do not recommend Richmond American Homes because of their dishonesty. If they are lying about this, what else are they hiding.
