Fisher is not the place to go unless you are already vested and ready for your stock investments. They will make a good portfolio and beat a market index but you have to have time and put up with the risk in modern investments. Give Fisher access to something you own in mutual funds, like a 401k from a former employer, and they will get better returns by selling the mutual funds and building value in the stock market. I was given a realistic expectation of how things would mature and why when I asked Fisher to explain their goals as a fiduciary. It has cost me less to keep myself vested with Fisher's guidance now, producing a better net gain. However, I had to be patient before I could consider it possible to get something out of Fisher.

I was checking around with different firms. I sent for their free booklet. Their fee is smoke and mirrors. Their rates are fix on a percentage of your portfolio value. So they won't make any more money if your value is the same or drops. No different from any other firm.
The big difference, I see, is their high pressure, manipulative and at times rude salesperson.

I told them I had reviewed their information and sales pitch and was not interested. Yet they continued to call every day for weeks and months. Even when I told the to stop calling. Harassment!

Salespeople must be under high pressure to get accounts and commissions.

There are many other firms that are much better and personable.

Just do your do diligence, read independent reviews not the company's sponsored reviews.

Best of luck. It's your money beware of who you chose.

Excellent guidance and transparency. Good follow up. When asking for brochure on line - check do not call - they won’t call you. The guide downloads immediately and you don’t have to wait for an email. Been with them almost ten years. Return on investments has beat the indices most of the time.

I talked with one of their reps a few times but ultimately decided it wasn’t for me. Their fees are in line with another firm I talked with, and I thought the rep was nice enough. But I couldn’t understand how their business model works. You don’t give them your money. They gain access to your existing accounts. I didn’t want to do that… I don’t even give access to my husband.

They cannot take “no” for an answer. It’s been a few years since I talked with the rep and they still call me a few times every week.

I requested a brochure that I saw online that was supposed to be sent via email (it wasn't). I've now gotten multiple calls from extremely rude salesmen from Fisher one who literally laughed at me when I expressed concern about their 1.25% fee telling me good luck with advisors who were mechanics a few weeks ago that charge .75%. Absolutely would never work with them.

As soon as my mother died, and when I asked them for help in splitting up and reregistering accounts, they told me that they couldn't continue as my financial advisor representing. They were perfectly happy to represent me when no work was required but as soon as work was required they dropped us and I had to go and try and find another financial advisor in the middle of a difficult paperwork.

Good communications, knowledgeable staff, but ultimately very poor performance from the “think tank” there. High rates for funds under management, I don’t know how they justify what they charge. I was very disappointed with the results I got there. Moved on.

They require an initial investment of half a million dollars which is a very high hurdle for most people. I also did not like the fact that the financial planner talking to me had less than 10 years experience and did not have a college degree from a nationally recognized or regionally recognized University and either finance, business or economics. I do know others who have had good success with this firm, but my initial conclusion is that they are not right for many people.
