A contractor hired by the owner / property manager sawed up and demo’d a concrete driveway within three feet from my car - did not give notice nor did the contractor make any effort to cover my car or knock on doors to ask to move. Had paint chips all along one side of the car and mgmt refuses to pay for the repair saying the contractor must pay. Completely unprofessional and unethical. Beware.

They are managing our HOA in Manhattan Beach and unfortunately do not respond. It been months of multiple ignored emails and phone calls. Can’t get anything done. I do not recommend them.

Absolutely terrible company. Our kitchen sink leaked in Feb '24 and flooded our bedroom. It's now June and the carpet that got ripped out back then still hasn't been replaced. I've been available all this time.
Each inquiry they reach out to me 2-3 weeks later after I contact them. They don't answer phone calls so we must leave messages to no avail.
This company has ZERO integrity.

“I must say, I am very impressed with this property management company. First Light Property Management is BY FAR the best property management company in Los Angeles. It's a pleasure working with them. Very professional, bottom line focused (I they actually care that My investment properties make money for me) present, courteous and diligent every step of the way. First Light’s staff (Our direct property manager is Brian Sturgis) makes my family feel that we are their top priority. They answered all of our questions swiftly, and addressed all of our concerns carefully and professionally. I couldn't have picked anywhere such an excellent management team like them. Thank you so much for working diligently and expeditiously to find perfect tenants assist with all of the much needed renovations. We are pretty much all hands-free now, and Brian sends updates - and checks - monthly.

Thank you again, First Light for being an awesome management company - you literally kept us from selling our apartment buildings out of sheer frustration with the previous two managers.

The reviews are true! I wish I could give zero stars, despite the horrible reviews I really loved the place, so I applied at the Charlie apartments on the 26th. Since then dealing with this unprofessional and incompetent company has been a nightmare. I sent over my id and once I sent that over the service went downhill, I honestly believe they are in violation of fair housing which I am currently filing a complaint as well. First they stated my proof of income wasn't in pdf when it's clearly in pdf form, then they said it wasn't the full pages of the tax returns it was 2 pages per year. Everyone who does real estate knows a 1040 is 2 pages, to further add insult to injury I was verbally harassed by Thiago the regional manager as he laughed at the lack of service I received on the phone, and implied that I was fraudulent. Why would you say that to a prospective tenant? Do they treat everyone like this or just me? I currently pay over 3k in rent at my current building and have for the past 3 years - nothing fraud about me. Don't lease or do business with them. Do yourself a favor and lease with a professional management company and not this incompetent company. If they can speak to a prospective resident in this manner just imagine how they treat their current ones after they have their money! The reviews are true avoid at all costs

BEWARE! Had to leave a review since I was apartment hunting online and came across a listing for the apartment I lived in located in koreatown Los Angeles. I got PTSD when I saw that place since I experienced the worst case of bedbugs that still haunts me til this day. This management company does not care about its tenants or the state of its apartments. After multiple phone calls and emails they weren’t helpful in the slightest. Turns out the building had a history of bed bug and roach infestation for years. Steer clear at all costs and save yourself the agony of a bug infestation. No cheap rent is worth the experience I went through that still haunts me all these years later

Called the management company 25 times over the past 25 days about getting my security deposit back and they've totally ignored me, no call back, no text messages, nothing.
I spent 4 days getting the property back in pristine condition and about $400 out of my pocket just to ensure I got my deposit back and have been totally ignored. If you're reading this review stay away from this company and rent thru anyone else. They'll probably just charge you for the application fee and deny you anyways which seems to be a very common theme I keep reading thru Yelp reviews.

I am a college student who had a horrible experience with First Light Property Management. Thiago never will help or return calls. Really not a safe place to live. They let things break and never fix them. Sketchy at the very least!
