Richard Lewis was recommended to us by a contractor who was finishing up repairs on our rental house that we planned to sell. Richard and Brad took away the burden of selling it ourselves and made the process painless. They made great suggestions for the finishing touches and had our property sold in a day. Two years later I asked Richard for a favor, and he was able to find me the perfect realtor for an out-of-state sale, even when there was nothing in it for him but good will. Only doing this so people won’t get tricked by Taber or Chris Wilson if they read this.

Bought my house in Christiana in June of 2020. Checked on this house every week leading up to it. My realtor stayed on top of it and a week before closing, after inspections and blue tape walk throughs,
numerous issues arose. We had lighting not complete, dishwasher not hooked up, propane line for fire place not installed, yard had very little grass. Chris Wilson eventually told my realtor he didn’t know what was going on and had no idea when we would close.
When we finally did close, we called Taber just before the signatures and told him of our concern about lack of grass, or yard in general. He talked about all the people he’s worked with and how he’s built a reputation and that grass would grow.
Chris Wilson also said the ridiculous amount of rocks in the yard would be easy to lift deck height on mower and run right over them. We ended up having to spend $10,000 out of pocket to remove the rocks and get grass to grow. Guess you could say they are real reputable.

Moreover, we had issues with master bathroom floor accumulating mold, and floor in and around shower was breaking. The contractors Taber used argued over it (who owned the damages) and had to be worked on multiple times. Two other homes in neighborhood had exact same issue. It still isn’t fixed.

They spent more time not answering texts and calls than fixing our 1 year list of items to be complete and when they did work on them, they sent a guy who was incapable of working more than a few minutes at a time without having to take a smoke break, and rest for respiratory issues, at the same time.
Can’t say for sure since I’m only speaking facts, but I’m willing to guess this guy is paid under the table to benefit him and Taber.

If that wasn’t enough, when Taber passed on the CC&Rs to turn the HOA over to the neighborhood, he held a meeting in which he stated the attorney would be there to go over the process. Not only was the attorney not present, Taber ran the meeting himself and did not have a clue on how the process should go and what positions were needed.
He also approved a home’s secondary building that did not match house and had a fence that is not an actual fence, that way he could look like a good guy to that home and then turn it over to the HOA for us to take care of. It’s impossible since he set the precedent. He’s as good as the quality of homes he builds. He’s also sent the HOA a bad check, doesn’t make sure his rental lot in the neighborhood looks presentable nor keep up its landscaping.

I would have posted sooner but I wanted to be someone who could forgive him. As of tonight, the air filter guard fell off and damaged the floor, and it bent. He didn’t install this correctly, like other problems mentioned. It could have hurt someone. I posted those pictures. Please don’t get tricked by these guys.
