I was emailed a few times by an email address I've never seen. I ignored as there are many scams. The name on the email was Essex.

I then received an email in which they threatened to stop receiving my mail. This sparked my curiosity so I decided to respond and say I don't know who they are, and I would check with the other tenants of the business complex.

Essex then replied to me saying I should read their email footer that contains the address of our complex. As if this is a proper and legal way to be identified.

While talking with other tenants at the complex to confirm, they mentioned Essex had taken over for the original owner and managers of the complex. That they were disgusted about how they imposed new fees during the national Covid pandemic. A time in which many businesses are not doing well.

I replied asking Essex to send me the new agreement. A few days later I get a call from Rochelle saying they will not allow me to continue my agreement. Said they were making changes. I asked if they were just trying to get rid of me (would make no sense but worth asking), and they replied saying - no that they are just raising rates much higher and people won't want to pay them. This was the reply.
