Before my wife and I left our apartment, we thoroughly cleaned it with 3 other people. EWPM had the gall to deduct $300 from our security deposit for a bogus unit cleaning charge.
In the contract, it says that the owner "may" deduct for cleaning fees. However, in this case, there was no need. I will attach the photos for proof. Moreover, I left the apartment in better shape than I received it. When we first moved in, the floors had tons of dirt caked in, and the appliances, windows, and blinds were dirty.
I am currently communicating with their management (Olivia) to try and make this right. I don't believe they ever even checked the unit. I have provided proof of cleanliness and even had my property manager do a walk through of my unit to validate its deep clean.
I would recommend not doing business with them if this is how they operate. I will update this review if they do the right thing and pay us for the full $300 that we are owed.

I was a tenant for a property managed by Empire West Property Management for about 3 years. I absolutely loved my apartment. Never had bugs, leaks, or other common issues, and whenever natural breakdowns would happen with A/C or heating or lights they did a great job expeditiously repairing the situation. Excellent communication and mutual respect. I would happily recommend renting with Empire West.

I must say from my experience working with different Management companies, Empire west Property management are the best by far !
They do care about their customers and their tenants and continuously making sure their inquiries are resolved in a timely manners ..
Lupe and Olivia are always on point and making sure all is taken care of ..

I lived here for a year, and while the location was convenient, my overall experience was disappointing. The apartment was dirty when I moved in, with paint and cement residue on the windows, and it felt like it had been sitting vacant for a while without being properly cleaned. I let management know about this at the start, but it never seemed to be taken into account when I moved out, as they charged me a cleaning fee despite me leaving the place in better condition than I found it.

The biggest issue was the lack of proper maintenance and security. The garage entry code was never changed, and it felt like anyone could walk in. Unfortunately, this led to my motorcycle being stolen. To top it off, there was an incident where someone defecated in my parking spot, and it took management three weeks to clean it up despite me reporting it immediately. The entire garage stunk during that time, which was honestly unacceptable.

There were also some unmet promises, like being offered side-by-side parking but ending up with tandem parking due to mismanagement. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place unless they improve their communication, cleanliness, and security measures.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience with Empire West Property Management, Inc. The agent I worked with was shockingly unprofessional, displaying a level of rudeness that was completely unacceptable. I felt disrespected throughout our interactions, which left me questioning the company's standards of service and professionalism.

It's deeply concerning when an agent fails to treat clients with basic courtesy and respect, regardless of their background. Unfortunately, this experience has made it clear that this company does not prioritize customer service or uphold a professional standard.

I cannot recommend Empire West Property Management, Inc. to anyone seeking a respectful and professional property management experience. I hope they take this feedback seriously and work to improve their practices.

Wish I could give a 0. Stole money from my mother, double charged her on utilities for 6 months then took half of her deposit for more utilities when she left. They will scam you and they will steal from you. Other people in her building would say they wouldn’t even pay for utilities, don’t know what the hell is going on but DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY.
