I’ve been here for 3 months now and the lack of security here is absolutely terrible. We had our bike stolen from our patio and management has yet to figure out how it happened. Only tenants should have access in the complex. Twice I’ve came home from work late at night and have found a homeless person sleeping the lobby on the couches. It’s a shame that such a beautiful place can so unsafe.

I’m the one of the first tenants. It has been no secured since I moved in.

After I move in few days later,I saw some strangers at the patio on the 5th floor around 7pm. There were 4 guys. Some of them are bold head and don’t wearing the shirt. One guy wear the white hat with red bandana. I don't know they are residents or not, but I can tell their outfit looks like Mexican gang members. I saw some of them smoking and drinking. Pillows are on the floor and they were charging their phone from the power next some unit.

Around 8:30 pm, I met other new 2 guys front of Alley elevator. Naturally, they open the door(it wasn't locked.)and went to the 5th floor.

I report that but I did not see any action from management.

This apartment was built without considering safety. It was built just to look good. No sound proof at all. I can hear upstairs footsteps and talking next door too.

These days they do fire alarm issues a lot go time. My little daughter freaking out because of the fire alarm sound. Even the fire alarm ringing 3 am in the morning and My daughter is crying and hang on me tight. Even They don’t explained what happened last night. For now, we are confuse the fire alarm is ring because of real fire or accidentally works.

I reported so many things uncomfortable at the first time, But the management did not accept my report because they do not want pay for fix or make it better. Because I used to living in LA downtown Luxury apartments, It was not like this. This management raised up rent high, but nothing changed.

I do not want to you are the another victim to live here. If you like the picture of this apartments, Please consider carefully and moving in.

If you value your security and peace of mind, look elsewhere.

I strongly advise against renting here due to severe security issues that have made living here unsafe. Recently, a group of teenagers have been breaking into the building, pulling fire alarms at all hours (the latest incident being at 3AM on 2/15), banging on residents' doors so loudly that it sounds like furniture's falling, engaging in door-dinging, and harassing residents. To make matters worst, one of them even assaulted and threatened my husband with a weapon during a confrontation.

The police have been called twice now, but because these individuals run away before the cops arrive and have yet to be identified, there's little they can do. What's even more frustrating is the complete lack of action or concern from management. We've reached out to the leasing office/manager, asking them to send out a warning to residents and to take steps to improve safety, but little to nothing has been done.

It's such a shame because we truly enjoyed living here prior to these incidents, and everything seemed fine at first. But given how much we're paying, a safe home free of nuisance and disturbance is the bare freaking minimum. There are NO security measures in place here. In past apartments I've lived in, there were key fobs required for elevator and stairwell access, and security guards were present. Here, trespassers can sneak into the building easily.

We don't feel safe in our own home anymore. The lack of action and the absence of security make it clear that management doesn't care about resident safety. We were looking forward to extending our lease but not anymore.

UPDATE 2/23: The group of teens have since returned twice. It’s come to light, based on talking with other residents, that they have been terrorizing this building for MONTHS. Today alone, these kids were seen having s*x on the 5th floor deck of the building. When we pressed the leasing manager about what they’re doing to make our community safe, all she can say is that “they’re working on it”. She keeps telling us to call the cops, and the cops defer us back to management, telling us that it’s ultimately up to them to hire security and install keys so that the building can’t be easily accessed. It’s been an infuriating and exhausting back and forth. And guess what, not a single email has been sent out warning residents about these incidents. No security has been hired and no locks have been installed in the main entryways. The situation has gotten so bad that current residents are having to ban together to report, record and sometimes even confront these individuals in an attempt get them to stop harassing us and leave the property. Edgeway won’t take this situation seriously until (god forbid) something bad happens to one of the residents.

Well the message has been loudly heard, Edgeway would rather fill their vacant units than prioritize resident safety.

I wish I could give it a - star. Property needs to do better I don’t know how many times she belittled me or tried to make me feel like I’m crazy or dumb for simply sharing concerns of my living space (security and apartment issues) if you want to leave in a luxury, peaceful, safe complex, this is not the place for that. Idk understand what’s the point of property management if no management can be done!!!! We pay luxury price for a very non luxury experience. Keep looking, don’t move here.

I’ve been living at The Edgeway in Bellflower, and I can honestly say it’s been a nightmare. There have been consistent intruders breaking into the complex, engaging in sexual acts in the common areas, and even setting fires on the property. On top of that, these trespassers have harassed and assaulted tenants, creating an extremely unsafe environment.

What’s most frustrating is that management hasn’t done anything to address these critical security issues. The building isn’t secured from the outside, allowing anyone to enter at any time. Because of this failure, my neighbors and I have been forced to take matters into our own hands just to feel somewhat safe in our own homes.

If you’re considering this place, stay far away. Until management prioritizes tenant safety and fixes the rampant security problems, living here is a serious risk

I have photos of vandalism throughout the year I have lived here. One incident is of a fire that started from people that don't even live here and the other is tagging within the community. Awful community in Bellflower. Save your money and go somewhere else! We pay 3,200 and theres absolutely no security or privacy. Neighborhood teens and homeless people are able to come in at their leisure and wreak havoc. Some teenagers on 2/23/2025 just assaulted a resident after banging on their door. They got away with it and im sure they will be back to do it again. The amenities are not kept up, so what are we paying for? Outside doors are broken so anyone can come in and take packages, go into the garage to ruin our cars, etc. Stay far away!

I moved in about a month ago and couldn’t be happier I’ve been loving the beautiful amenities i.e the pool, gym, and game room. So far the other tenants have be very nice and we’re all very friendly to each other. Francine the property manger and Genesis are always warm and welcoming. Im also very excited about the new shopping center right in front downtown bellflower which has been coming up fast lately and I’m glad I moved in before it gets full and lastly the parking structure next door and the public parking lot on either side is just clutch for when the whole family comes over 😅 over all very happy with my choice to move in !

I have been living in this "luxury" apartment since they open I was one of the first tenants who moved in They were such a rush to bring in tenants that they had us move in when the lock system was not even working We constantly had to locate our packages or food orders The lock wasnt working even after I had moved in and my order of mattress just disappeared because the lobby door wasnt locked Someone from the outside casually walked in and grabbed it I had to file a police report Not even an apologize from the apartment Since the security was an issue the management just locked the alley entrance with chain and locks FROM THE OUTSIDE for couple days Non tenants casually can come in enjoy the amenities the tenants pay for and nothing is done about it I have found used condoms and trail of trash in the stairs Also the apartment has an average of 2-3 false fire alarms a week Especially in the middle of the night 2-3am The alarm is unbearably loud We evacuated to the streets just to save ourselves from the alarm Sometime the emergency alarm is triggered by people that doesnt even live here The other night I saw a homeless person sleeping in our lobby I contacted management NO ACTION NO RESPONSE You can also hear the tenants from 2floors up because of how thin the walls are Its like have another person in the room with me The apartment is far from secure or luxury My two neighbors next to me left after the first year Please save yourself from all the trouble and frustration for the for future and skip this one
