We had the best time! Check in was great easy. The gas station across the way fills up for you and super simple check in.

The best part was the iPad with the narration of the things and places to visit. Super simple! Do that rather than the train/bus. You can stop where you want and take as much time as you want.

Border crossing is super simple. Just have your passports! Oh and GET THE BISON CHILI at the suspension bridge.

Great experience! It can be pricey but it’s 100% worth it. I didn’t really want to go on an excursion for this port and found this company. The jeep was in perfect condition and the system they use for the guidance is awesome. It was amazing to just be alone with my partner with no other tourists around. The process was easy and everyone was friendly.

Such a great idea instead of the expensive scenic rail. The audio tour was informative with all the stops along the way. We started at 9 and got back at 5 which was the perfect amount of time to do all the stops including caribou crossing and getting homemade bison chili at the Yukon suspension bridge.

One of the best things to do if you’re visiting Skagway! Great team of people who get you on the road quickly. We rented a Jeep Grand Cherokee and drove from Skagway to Carcross, Yukon. A nice audio tour is provided for you to listen to while driving. One of my most favorite drives - the scenery is just beautiful! The DIY Jeep Tours team also provides tickets for a lunch at The Bistro in Carcross. I’m sure it would have been delicious, but we weren’t able to enjoy it. We got to Carcross around 10 am (keeping in mind the time change), and The Bistro didn’t open until 11:30. We had to leave before then to get back to Skagway for another tour. That would be my only complaint about the experience. I’d rented from DIY Jeep Tours once before, and the lunch provided was picked up in Skagway in a cooler. This was a much simpler experience. I wish I’d known about the changes to how lunches are handled - I would have planned the day a little differently. Just know that your lunch is now 75+ miles away and not available until late morning. Otherwise, this is a fantastic experience! Definitely recommend, and it’s a much cheaper option if you are a group of 4 or 5 and are considering the train excursion.

My wife and I rented from here during our port day in Skagway while on our cruise, and did the drive to Carcross. This couldn’t have been easier and we received a very clean and well-running Jeep Wrangler. The lunch from The Bistro was even delicious! 10/10 would prefer this again over the train ride.

Great experience in Skagway! Got our Jeep and loved going on our own and deciding where we wanted to stop and look. Just gorgeous! We had a yummy lunch that was packed for us. We stopped at the Yukon bridge and had a lot of fun there too. I would highly recommend.

We were excited for this "excursion" on our cruise last week to Skagway. Upon arrival, us, and at least 2 other groups were told that they have no Jeeps available for rent, and that we could choose between a 4 Runner, Cherokee, or Highlander. We chose the 4 runner, which is nice, but was not the "jeep" experience we paid extra for. I inquired about receiving a partial refund, because just booking through Avis (same place) the vehicle would have been over $100 cheaper. He told me no, but that I was receiving a "complimentary upgrade".

Maybe they had too many reservations that day, and all the gladiators were gone, but there was no offer of concession. Next time we rent in Skagway, we will either just book through Avis or Affordable Car Rental.

Renting a car in Skagway and driving to Emerald Lake is a MUST DO. Much better than the railroad experience in my opinion.
