stay away from this place if you want your peace and money!
Don’t expect a dime back to you from your deposit, the apartment itself is not worth a price so old and parking is a nightmare

Thankfully we are moving out, this property that was once pretty has been turned into low-income housing. The crime of people breaking into your cars is horrific. People are parking on the side of the street while some hooded person decides to walk through all the cars and smash in the windows. They have lied about the water and electricity bill. I honestly think that we are paying for water or electricity from outside. We received a bill that was over $900 when we barely turn on the lights. The property does not mow any of the grass and over your chest height in growth and are crawling with snakes and spiders. We've had an infestation of gnats in our air vents which basically states that some animal has probably died inside the vents and is now coming out of the vents by gnats and bugs and other insects that would state that something is decomposing on the inside. The property manager doesn't care about anything. She won't replace the disintegrating carpets. We also get the beauty of listening to our trashy neighbors fight with each other all night. I would move here if you have no other option and this was your last resort. There are many other nice apartments around the city that you can live without fearing for your life, walking outside or can actually survive without insects flying out of your vents. Also another situation with this place is that in San Rafael you're only allowed to raise your rent 5%. However, they raise theirs over 5% which is beyond the law that was established for this county. So you can expect to have your rent increased each year by $200

I've lived here for a year now, and I must say my experience has been amazing. Beautiful views, nice and quite neighbor's and the amenities are plentiful. Any time anything needs fixing no matter what it is. It's done with 24hrs. Even the staff is helpful and understanding, always going the extra mile to make sure your okay. I just renewed my lease for the second year. I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking to feel like your away from everything but still be close to everything ... moving here was one of the best choices I've made in a long time. Thank you Deer Valley staff and community. Keep up the good work.
