Took our very ill 8-year-old Boston Terrier to the AV Veterinary Center for urgent care. I was disappointed in the fact that they were not yet open until 8 am and had a 2 hour wait on a Sunday morning.
Once there was a veterinarian on duty, our 40 pound dog was taken into the back area. It was determined that due to severe diarrhea and rectal bleeding, he was dehydrated. He was admitted for a 24 hour stay. I found the staff were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I explained about my Healthcare background and felt they accepted that I had a high level of understanding about my "baby" and his needs, 22 allergies etc.
Though no specific diagnosis was found, my dog was well cared for and was doing better upon discharge. I would recommend them for urgent and emergent care.
