I very seldom write reviews (this is my second), but I feel compelled to do so because this will help save time and piece of mind for many, and my efforts of ten minutes time is a good trade-off. We used the services of Nelson Chen to sell our apartment at City Place in Edgewater, NJ. He came to the apartment, and like a doctor would examine, diagnose and give a remedy, Nelson examined, analyzed what had to be done, and within about a month, was able to transform the tired 2000’s unit with a lot of yellow/brown wood interior to white cabinetry (kitchen/bathroom) and grey wooden floors. The apartment was also staged with very modern but inviting furniture. The transformation was truly beyond recognition. And in such a short time with minimal amount spent. Nelson has the vision, the contacts with companies to execute it, and in our case, even a staging company. Within three days of the unit being listed, we went over multiple over ask offers and the property closed within two months of the listing date. We actually made tens of thousands of dollars more than we had anticipated! And with absolutely no headaches on the owner’s end. Simply put, the Chen Agency gets it done. And there’s no doubt it would be the same experience for the buyer represented by the Chen Agency—-they are keenly in touch with the real estate market (I believe Nelson was the president of NJ MLS for many years) and the properties in Hudson and Bergen Counties. Nelson listens well, but beyond that, he can read a person’s wants and brings it home.
