This management company loses money for the property owners they represent. Who puts in a clause that rent is still owed if the tenant dies during the lease? It’s not about the terms, it’s what is revealed about the lack of empathy by the management company. The typical time to contact them is when there’s an issue, so I can see why they get one of the lowest review scores possible. Stay away from properties managed by CWP.

Their custom lease form includes a provision where the landlord can make whatever changes to the lease with 30 day notice to tenant. They say thats their standard lease and will not make changes to it. Who would sign that? After touring, paying for an application, submitting documents, then reviewing the lease, what an absolute waste of time. MAKE SURE TO HAVE YOUR ATTORNEY REVIEW THE LEASE BEFORE YOU SIGN.

Lived at the 1819 Parnell ave apartment and our experience was good overall. Wish they would install double pain windows but Angela the manager was responsive to our texts, didn’t have any roach issues and all our neighbors were friendly.

Do NOT rent from Century West! Unless you love leaking roofs, broken appliances and months long waits to get anything fixed (if at all.) They are the most unhelpful people in the world. I don't know what percentage of what they do is a scam and what percentage of it is sheer stupidity, but either way the result is the same. ANY positive reviews have to be someone who works there. (I'd say a bot, but no way they figured that out.)

I had an incredible experience with Century West! From the moment I moved in, the team was nothing short of amazing. They were always prompt, professional, and incredibly kind.

Any time I had a question or needed assistance, they were quick to respond and went above and beyond to ensure everything was taken care of. The property was well-maintained, and any issues that arose were handled swiftly. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their tenants and the properties they manage.

They made my time here feel like home, and I couldn't have asked for a better landlord. All maintenance requests were handled in time. Hope we can rent again somewhere in santa monica area soon.

I recently moved into a building managed by Century West Properties, and it has been a wonderful experience. I had the pleasure of working with Michael, and he has gone above and beyond in terms of customer service. I move often, and have lived in about 8 buildings over the last 10 years, and Michael's service was far ahead of anything I have experienced in the past. His attention to detail, and overall ease of doing business made the stressful process of moving a much more enjoyable experience.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new home in the Los Angeles area!

Thanks again Michael!

The absolute worst company to rent from. Over priced. They use the cheapest materials to “fix” your unit. And they completely ignore any maintenance emails. Run the other way !

I've lived in a CWP property for just about 3 months now and so far so good! A lot of my neighbors have lived here for 15+ years. The location is amazing (in between montana and idaho) and super walkable and safe. It is an older building, so there's always going to be little things (outdated cabinets, old toilets, etc.) but I lived in a "brand new" mega complex before this (20th & Colorado) and experienced waaaaaay more issues. The only maintenance request I've had to open was during move in - a few of the window blinds were broken. They sent someone within a couple days to come fix them!

There is shared laundry - one washer and dryer on every floor, and it costs about $2-3 per cycle. There are only 5 units on my floor and I've never had a problem sharing. And water and trash are included with the rent price which is nice.

The property manager, Armis, also lives on the property and is usually super responsive and helpful! The lady that works at the front office, Miriam, is also very kind and helpful and easy to get ahold of during business hours.

My only complaint is the call box at the front only allows for one phone number to be connected (I'm in a 3 bedroom unit so would be nice to attach 2 numbers), and apparently has to be an LA based area code. So whenever we have guests or packages being delivered it can be a little tricky. We still haven't set it up or found a solution, but this is a very small complaint in the grand scheme. I don't see myself moving any time soon!
