Do NOT rent from this place!!

I rented a house with my husband from this company from 2021 to 2024. We paid our rent on time or early, and kept everything in good working order. In March of 2023, there was a storm that blew the fence down and damaged our gate to the backyard to the point where it was coming off the hinges and could not be locked. We reported this damage 8 times and every time our work order request was ignored and deleted. Our lawnmower got stolen because of the gate not being able to close and there was no other way for us to secure our belongings. Then upon moving out, Camelot placed a lock box on the door with the key to the home for showings and what not. I came home to the box open, and the key exposed!! Approximately 1,000 worth of items of ours were stolen due to camelot's negligence. We followed all move out procedures, cleaned and performed everything exactly how they asked us too. And yet, they took all but 300 of the security deposit, claiming we did not clean and that there was damage that we did not cause. We took photos upon move out, and sent these to Camelot so as to dispute the charges. They did not budge and we had to threaten legal action. Only then did they return the rest of the deposit we were rightfully owed.
This company has caused us so much heartache. Please do yourself a favor and rent from somewhere else!! And if you happen to already rent here, keep your receipts and photos!!! You will have to prove that you didn't damage the place. They will try to take as much as they can!
