Stayed at the only oceanfront home offered and need to make a few comments. Entering the home provided a wonderful view of the ocean but the sun was making the room uncomfortably warm. Noticed there were blinds for the windows but only after a frustrating search, discovered a switch on the wall that controlled raising and lowering the blinds. Next, discovered that there are numerous light switches throughout the home and only trial and error determined what was controlled by each. There were no instructions on the home use and trial and error was frustrating. An issue with the WIFI was noted and numerous emails to the management company did not resolve the issue, Finally they provided details about needing to reboot accessory connections that owner indicated were in the master bedroom and a second bedroom where the devices were located. After a frustrating search, the only device was found in another bedroom not mentioned by the owner. Then on our third day, a note from Management stated that painters were coming and would arrive early AM. They did in fact show and set up right outside the master bedroom sliding door. Later in the week, the painter reappeared with workers to clear up the mess left on the side yards, making sitting on the deck impossible. Lastly on the last day of our stay, a knock on the door at 9:15 presented 2 workers who were there to replace the cover on the hot tub (which by the way had no provided instructions on how to operate) and spent about 1 1/2 hours disturbing our last day.
All in all, there was little consideration by owner or management to insure our stay was comfortable and uninterrupted. I will not be returning to this rental. The Management company is not the owner so offer a better star review for them.

Terrific owners and staff. They have been in business for 30 years and are very helpful as well as knowledgeable. They have a nice selection of ocean view homes; all very clean. I personally rented homes from Janet & Heidi for at least 10 years before moving here.

House was wonderful and we had a great experience. However, this management service Has given us extra charges. For things that we didn't do or were no fault of our own, or based on neighbors speculation.
I'm getting in touch with them tomorrow, I will revise this review if they take some responsible action. We spent two hours cleaning, left it immaculate. We'll See what they say. More to come

We had a terrible experience with this company.

Firstly, there were numerous rusted screws loose which were sprawled throughout the deck. Some of which were stepped on while barefoot because as the sign says, we removed our shoes while upstairs. This is extremely dangerous. Tetanus is not a matter to take lightly, so please be aware of your surroundings so you don't get hurt like we did.

The plastic floor mats on the back patio are a slipping hazard. I slipped on the mat and bashed my knee into the stone patio. My knee is still messed up from this incident and I am unable to walk without any pain. This could seriously injure someone even worse in the future.

The towels in the house had a very distinct smell, as if they had been left in the washer too long without having been dried. Then placed on the rack, they were musty and moldy. It was gross.

The owner, Heidi, is terribly unprofessional and lacks the soft skills required in the hospitality business. Save yourself some trouble, rent with VRBO or AirBNB, because "supporting local" with this company was the biggest mistake.

First thing I noticed was the 2" black dog hairs on the comforter in the master bedroom. Then, layer after layer there was dog hair on the blanket, sheets, pillow cases and pillows. There was even makeup, eyeshadow and lipstick on the pillow cases. This was extremely disturbing to me as I am severely allergic to cats and dogs not to mention it was gross to realize no one had washed these. Followed by my children's socks full of cat hairs and the sofa and sofa chairs full of dog and cat hairs. Trying to make the best of this vacation I took my kids clothes and washed them along with all tge linen on the beds leaving comforter and throw pillows untouched in a corner. I vacuumed the first floor, second floor, closets, stairs and all the rugs as they also showed cat and dog hairs. After two hour of cleaning and washing I was exhausted right after driving for six hours to get to Cambria. Had to also place towels over the sofa as you can never get rid of pet dander. To prevent me from having an allergy attack I doubled on antihistamines and asthma medication. Last thing I wanted was my immune system acting up that when severe turns into respiratory infection. This a few days before Christmas. Kitchen and bathrooms were spotless. Which is why I gave 2 stars.

My husband and I have a current vacation rental, Sea Watch, (and a previous one) that have been managed by Cambria Vacation Rentals (CVR) for 23 years. We can't applaud Janet and Heidi enough for the outstanding quality service they provide for us as owners and it certainly translates into the high caliber service they provide for their clientele. While the other vacation rental agencies in town are adjunct businesses to realty companies, CVR is singularly devoted to the vacation rental market which establishes them above the others for their attention to detail. Because of them, we are able to provide many amenities in our home because the overwhelming majority of their customers respect the homes they rent as if they were their own. Janet and Heidi also monitor their renters' adherence to noise ordinances, the home owners' preferences, and the rights of nearby resident neighbors, all standards that we appreciate, as do our neighbor friends. They know their owners' homes and they work with their customers in order to maximize their vacation expectations. Without question, our years of working together are proof that they have earned our professional respect and therefore our strongest endorsement for reliability, quality, and satisfaction.

I would love to understand how anyone can call these people friendly. My husband booked a weekend at one of their properties scheduled for late September as a surprise for our 10th anniversary. Unbeknownst to him that specific night was not going to work for us so - a mere 15 hours after the reservation was made he canceled it. This reservation is over four months away. September is historically an extremely popular month in Cambria and there is little doubt in my mind that they can rebook that same weekend. I sent an email asking for them to consider waiving the $28 cancellation fee that was assessed for canceling 15 hours after the reservation was made. In no way was my email a demand for a refund it was very clearly a request. While I certainly know that my request could be denied, what I didn't expect was this response : "I'm sorry that you and your husband did not discuss the dates before making a confirmed reservation". Well of course I understand policy is policy, I also know that owners have the right to make decisions about how they run their business. We don't plan on contacting them if we decide to rent in the future.
