It was quite a bit of a drive out here, and there are no trails. I drove down the road and passed by the shooting area and then there was a sheriff training area. Finally, I saw the sign for the hiking area. There was a small parking lot with no shade and a restroom area plus about 2 to 3 ramadas with picnic tables. No trail map and no water fountains (as I recall). There are also no signs to point to where the trail starts if any, but you are free to walk around the rocky areas and kind of trailblaze. Pretty meh.
I may revisit once trails are built out.

Hopefully they open this developed picnic area to overnight camping in the near future, I'll give it 5 stars when they do. Located a few miles South of Robins Butte Wildlife Area when heading South on AZ85. Numerous sites with shaded tables, BBQ's, restrooms. There are a couple easy hikes up the hills to get a decent view of South Buckeye and the White Tank range. Only a few miles away from the Buckeye RV & Boat Storage makes it a convenient location for a quick day trip.

Nice peaceful place with a good view of the surrounding landscape and multiple covered picnic areas and a few small grills to have a nice outdoor hangout. Bathrooms are there but its the basic porta potty park kind with no sink or soap to wash our hands with. They were stocked with toilet paper though.

Be careful out here. Went on a jog and almost got snatched up. I saw I was being followed so I got off the road and on top of the hills to run back to my car.

Use to allow camping in 2017 but no more I guess. I think they know a lot of homeless will go out there. Last time I camped there plenty of people were living out there full time.

Camping is free which is nice. There are some campsites with tables, shade structures and fire pits. If you want to hike you will need to blaze your own trail.

And on hand look at what raw desert looks like in person. Very remote with limited resources in fact only one pit toilet. There is no camping allowed, why one could work at mistake it for BLM land it is actually a Maricopa County Park
