Brandon showed up for us for two years. For his sake, please don't take two years to find a house. He was there every step of the way, and helped us get the house of our dreams (which is astonishing) that we just closed on in April 2025. The entire process was flawless and much lower stress than I imagined it would be. We couldn't have asked for a more knowledgeable and effective realtor. He was also empathetic and always in our corner with excellent advice and ideas for getting what we wanted. All around just an excellent person and realtor. My wife (who was born and raised in Arcata) and I were actively exploring the vacation home market in a couple of locations on the west coast, but really liked what Humboldt County and specifically Arcata, offered us because it checked a lot of the boxes were were looking for.

Since we live and work in Los Angeles, we needed someone we absolutely trusted in the HumCo area to help guide us along this journey. Enter my wife’s high school classmate, Brandon Brown with Remax.

After a short but meaningful phone conversation in which he introduced himself and provided some background on his experience in this market, I knew Brandon was going to be the right person for this job. We knew we needed someone who was trustworthy, multi-talented, and someone who had a strong work ethic. We got all three in Brandon.

Brandon not only quickly identified a property that was ideal for us, he did all the “little things” behind the scenes that made this process exciting and enjoyable.

Because we couldn’t view the property in person, Brandon sent countless videos and photos of the property. Upon our request, he crawled under the foundation to give us a closer “virtual look” at the condition of the vapor barrier. During escrow, a heating element needed to be added in the upstairs bedroom, without skipping a beat Brandon got it taken care of within 12 hours.

Anytime we had a question, Brandon picked up the phone and talked us through it. He was timely with paperwork and collecting signatures. He never moved faster or pushed us harder than we were willing to go, which says a lot about the high character he has.

In my industry, I get the opportunity to work with a handful of realtors in my day-to-day dealings. After working with Brandon on this vacation home purchase, I can easily say he is at the top of the list for anyone I have ever worked with.

When Brandon puts his attention on selling your house, he does so with full focus. We recently sold our house, and Brandon found the right buyer within a relatively short time frame. We live remotely, and he helped make the transition very smooth by handling many of the local aspects that needed to be attended to during the inspections and negotiations process. He was able to get some of these things done incredibly fast to preserve the close date. Highly recommended if you're selling your house in NorCal!
