They’ve kept their deposit , Worst communication, Pat The realtor Agent is horrible ,Make several excuse, to not give the renters their money back for whatever , utilities that were paid, cleaning Deposits, be aware ,do your homework before you rent from this company.!

Horrible experience. They are predatory. Pat Baurnfeind kept our security deposits for fabricated reasons and charged us additional fees during moveout (they tried to bill us for “hot tub removal” even though we had no hot tub).

They will most likely respond to this with efforts to invalidate me, as they have with other reviewers, but just take a look at how many 1 star reviews there are mentioning things like “they stole my money” and come to your own conclusion.

Started off great with pat. We did a walk through stuff was in ok condition. No smoke detectors worked . We had a serious electrical problem that consisted the whole time . A huge leak sprung and we cleaned it up not them . All winter we struggled to keep warm. Even though I paid my rent on time every month. We stayed at a hotel a couple nights . At the end I paid a cleaner $550 to clean house and pay charged us $680 to clean it again. Very shady stay away. It also took her 60 days to get us our paper work and $173 of our deposit back. And charged us for broken smoke alarms . Don’t go with this company

DO NOT RECOMMEND! This company is unethical and dishonest...and they unfairly keep money from the security deposit. I rented from them for three years as a very reliable and professional tenant who cares for a house like it's my own home. They came to the walkthrough commenting on how clean and well maintained the home was, yet they kept over half the security deposit. They charged me for a repair on an old dishwasher when the handle broke off...was clearly normal wear and tear on an already old and well worn appliance. Things were broken upon move in that were never repaired in the three years I lived there, despite multiple notices to them that they were still broken and request for repairs. They tried to raise the rent for me when I knew the owner had asked them not to raise it. Extremely unethical and dishonest.

I have lived at a property managed by Bishop for nearly two years now. They are a small-knit group that works closely together, among themselves and with their clients. I have experienced personal setback and hardship during the time I have been a tenant, and the folks at Bishop-particularly Pat and Janna- have been nothing but communicative, empathetic, and understanding. Through several roommates and two leases, they have been gracious and professional. I hope to rent from Bishop for a long time moving forward and ecstatically recommend renting/doing business with them. I know it's rare to see glowing reviews for realty companies, but I assure you I am not affiliated with the company professionally, and this one is not your average realty company. They deserve it! Thank you guys!

Slum lord is too nice of a description for this company. They stiffed me on over half of my deposit return after one of their incompetent employees completed my walkthrough and confirmed I would receive it in full. They take months to complete basic maintenance requests and are rude when you follow up with them on the status. They lack basic business skills such as following up on emails or calling people back. The owner/manager demands unreasonable requests of meeting contractors, or the “maintenance crew” at your Home middle of the day, with same day notice, having no respect for other’s schedules. Terrible experience after 3 years of renting without a single late payment. I want to warn potential renters - they suck you in with lower monthly payments for properties that haven’t been updated in over 15 years, no exaggeration, and then don’t want to respond to maintance needs. Take my advice and go elsewhere. I also filled a complaint with the BBB to protect other potential renters. They are the reason renters don’t respect rental properties anymore. Why should you when they treat you so terribly?

I would rate them at a half star but unable to do so. We lived at one of their properties for two years and they were Slumlords. We had electrical issues in the house and after at least 5 calls with no return calls had to tell them it would be their problem if the house burnt down. We had a water issue and the maintenance man had no idea where the water shut off was we had to call a plumber after 3 hours of water flooding the front yard. They received notice of the trash carrier changing and did not bother letting us know. Again after multiple calls we had to go to the office for an answer. I think the staff with Bishop is trained to be rude. There is a tree in the backyard that needed to be cut down that the neighbors asked us to get taken care of, it is growing on top of their carport. A reasonable request it is growing onto the neighbors property for Petes sake. We call Bishop and their response was "have the neighbor cut it down." I could continue on but feel this is more than enough info. We would not recommend renting from them very unprofessional, rude service.
