The nicest thing I have to say about BENCO is that they are very good at sending someone (usually Steve - a nice man and great contractor) right away to address issues, but they have a general expectation that tenants are home whenever they feel coming swinging by. I cannot count the number of days I've had to stay home and miss work all day so that they can enter the unit. While they are sometimes very good at quickly fixing issues, other times they drag their feet indefinitely. The owner, Karen, is one of the rudest people I've ever had the displeasure of speaking with. She will never allow you a word in edgewise, will yell over you any time you attempt to describe an issue, and treats you as generally incompetent - at one point threatening to evict us for not allowing immediate entry for a non-emergency. She will explain away their refusal to help with issues by noting that they haven't heard complaints from other tenants, attempt to force tenants to contact other tenants instead of doing so herself, and refuses to provide an email address for written correspondence. She is very good at "No You"-ing when she is called out for these things, so if you need help from BENCO, expect a mouthful of excuses and finger-pointing before Steve smooths everything over.

The family are known abusers and lice in one lifestyle after the Mother who use to get fabrege eggs as a present from one of the family members gramma because they stole her eggs. The family has continued to abuse the woman by creating more children knowing she was told in her first marriage not to have children. The curio cabinet was filled with eggs. Ps my daughter looks just like the first born huh? Hb belated

These people are the worst and most condescending so called professionals I have EVER had to deal with. Karen and her side kick make accusations that are unwarranted toward their tenants. If I could give this company zero stars I would. These people lie and and like the other reviews state … they are rude and unprofessional and slow to fix anything. Stay away from any property managed by Karen if you want a peaceful rental.

I have had nothing but prompt service and support from Karen and her staff. I have had a lot of landlords in my life mostly the NYC cliche of the cigar chomping "what do I care" type. Benco is professional and responsive.
