Horrible experience with Belong. We submitted an application for a condo, and paid over $200. After we applied and were approved, they were extremely slow to send a lease and communicate the terms. When we finally received a lease we shocked to see how they run their business. They seemed to only care about the money and not the tenant. The terms and conditions for renting with belong were not made known until we paid the application fee. Not only that, but they charge and hold the tenants accountable for ridiculous reasons. Part of renting a home is having the owner be in charge of certain repairs. With Belong the tenant puts in the money and time into a home that belongs to someone else. Not once during the process did they not mention any HOA fees and rules. We received the HOA handbook and were appalled to see how ridiculous they were. Belong was not transparent during the process about their policies, and the condos HOA requirements. When we toured the home and asked questions they stated they would be answered by Belong prior to the application. The lack of transparency really shows this companies true intentions. If a landlord feels comfortable using this company then it’s safe to assume they’re just as bad. Never again will I apply to a home being managed by belong.

SCAM! Stay away from Belong. One example of their quality of service is this - we haven't had hot water for a week now and we have not been able to get ahold of anyone at belong. We've called and emailed dozens of times and still nothing.

The lack of communication is true with the homeowners too. They blacklist numbers and switch your case to different managers so no one has to actually do their job.

Their lack of communication, consideration, and care will cause your home damage, and create unlivable homes for renters that violate California tenant law.

Belong is a pig in lipstick, a slum lord with a bow. Great marketing, no follow through at all what so ever.

Avoid if you can.

i just signed a lease with Belong and had an excellent experience! Brynn, the resident concierge who helped me through the application process was helpful, honest, willing to answer my million questions. If she didn’t know something she always followed up with an answer. I also appreciate how easy it is to use their website to look at properties. I recommend them 100% !!
