GO ANYWHERE ELSE! This place is gross, my water is BROWN! There are no accommodations for the handicapped. The maintenance and management is the worst I’ve ever experienced. They cannot meet any of their project deadlines so tenants are subjected to a constant construction zone. There’s is a disgusting yellow substance dripping down my walls. I cannot see out of my second floor windows due to the filth and unmaintained trees. The insulation in my unit is so bad I can smell outside exhaust and fires/fireplaces. My unit went without smoke detectors for a YEAR. None of the amenities are available yet they continue to increase rent by 10% annually. There have been multiple rodent investigations, and I have had to clean up their decomposing bodies off of huge rats my patio

This place is a rip off. First they sold us on this corner unit apartment saying it was private and asked for $400 more for it than the other 1 bedrooms. Private my ass. The neighbors were taking their dogs out to shit in front of our patio. I paid $750 for a deposit. We only lived there for 18 months. When we left, we cleaned, scrubbed and patched the walls. That place was left in great condition and the still charged us $500 at move out. That’s $1250. I lived at a previous Irvine company property for 7 years and we didn’t leave it in the best shape and we got all of our deposit money back. The only reason we moved out was because they decided to remodel the upstairs when they moved out and put hardwood flooring up there. It was like the new neighbors were running a 24 hour daycare. We could hear screaming, jumping, and playing around alllllll day and into the night. When we complained nothing changed. We could even hear the neighbors screaming to his kids to shut up because they received a complaint. It costs us thousands to move right away and they still had the nerve to charge 500 on the way out. DONT MOVE HERE.

I agree with all of the negative reviews I have found online about Barcelona which they have just recently renamed Arta Resort Apartments. The new management team that Greystar hired is absolutely atrocious. They are mean, vindictive people who could care less about people or their needs. I have experienced much discrimination since I moved here and the people in the leasing office have caused so much heartache for me over the past three years. They absolutely do not care about things that are broken or dirty at the facility. The parent company Graystar is being sued by the FTC for fraudulently taking advantage of residents and charging hidden fees. It's no wonder and I would not advise living here or any of Greystar's properties - they are slum lords to say the least.

I used to really enjoy living at Barcelona Resorts, but now I’m just waiting for the next rent increase.

Greystar took over the property a couple of years ago, increased rent rates as high as they legally could (every year), began charging monthly pet rent, and have essentially made the tenants front the bill for general property beautification projects no one asked for (lighting, paving, leasing office, etc.)

The last straw and the reason I am writing this review is the recent implementation of PetScreening—a mandatory pet profile service which cost an ADDITIONAL $30 per pet annually—something I used to be able to submit for free to the front office via email.

So, now in addition to paying $50 per pet per month, I am required to build a profile for each of them and pay another $30 per pet per year. This is all on top of a hefty initial pet deposit when I moved in.

I know apartment complexes don’t like having pets on the property because of the liability it carries, but I’ve never lived at a “pet-friendly” apartment that make their tenants jump through this many hoops and then makes YOU pay to jump through those hoops.

Barcelona Resorts does offer gorgeous and large living spaces, but I would only recommend moving here if you do not have pets and if money is of no object, because you will be gouged on both of those fronts without any remorse.

I really enjoy the home I’ve built for myself here over the last few years and I am grateful for the great maintenance staff, which is why I am trying to roll with the punches, but it’s disgraceful how greedy this place has become.

We moved in about 2 months ago, and our original apartment was not 100% ready. Not their fault! They did everything they could, including extra deep cleanings, extra paint layers, etc. Maintenance and the staff really went out of their own way to make it ready. Unfortunately, it wasn't to our expectations. So, on our move in day, Zach and management were able to offer another solution to our apartment. They recommended another apartment, a different side of the community. They were very accommodating and so helpful with the process. 2 months later, we can honestly say we love our apartment. Much more than the original one. Maintenance was/is awesome!! The front office and managers are incredible!! Best decision we made was moving here!

My family and I have lived her for about 5 years now and it’s really a great place. the community grounds are clean, the staff is excellent and like many other communities I’ve lived at, the parking is never an issue. You get one garage space and one pass and you just have to read the lease agreement and abide by the rules and there will be no issues. the rules are nothing out of the ordinary.

I renewed once again because of this awesome staff and my beautiful apartment! It's home to me since 1998, yes a longtime and I wouldn't trade it for nothing.
