I had a disappointing experience at the BOA Woodbury Irvine branch. The branch manager lacks the experience needed to effectively manage operations and does not seem to prioritize customer service. Despite a long wait for a simple question, there was no effort to improve efficiency. When I requested to speak with the manager, the employee informed me she would be available in a few minutes, but she never returned. This reflects poor leadership and a lack of respect for customers' time.
I believe the manager needs more training to handle this role properly. However, I want to acknowledge the professionalism of the cashier on duty—who was the only one working at the time and handled customers efficiently.

Been coming here for the past 5 years. Five-star service! Lily and the manager, Nathalie, hands down give the best customer service. They always went above and beyond. Very appreciated their help and support. They deserve a raise.

If I could give a zero star, I would. This branch could probably easily get the most useless branch award. The so-called notary there doesn't know the basics of her job which is to just notarize the signature of the person who proves their identity. Instead, she is arguing about the contents of the document which is completely outside the purview of her role. And then she suggests that we should go to a nearby FedEx - if that's the case, why exactly are we Bank of America customers - so we can go to the nearby FedEx?

I went to Wells Fargo and they notarized the same documents with no questions asked. No more Bank Of America for me

Also, you see how they seem to auto-post their response to every negative feedback here and yet, their reviews get no better

Super rude associates. Both their atms were out of service, I just ask the lady(as she was walking in the bank on her way to one of their offices because no one else was there after 10 minutes)
I asked her if she knows if the atms will be reset or if she knows how long it will take? And she says I can't talk to you I'm helping other customers with strong tone and attitude. I replied I just ask a simple question since ur atms are not working that's all. She says Im in a meeting I can't help you. And I respond you don't have to be rude about this ur atms are out of service.

I still cannot believe people still have accounts at BofA. They are horrible. Do not know what they are doing and customer service is non existent. I had a relative pass away and I am trying to close the account. I have all the paperwork. I brought into the bank and nobody knows what to do. I went to Chase to do the same thing and it took less than an hour and a check was in my hands in less than an hour. At BofA now I am trying to do the process online and I am on 21 days and counting. Just to close an account and get a check. Update. Still no check. Have called twice and got no info. Today called and they said the mailed the check. Last week told me I should get in a day or two because the check is cut in Orange County. Nope today the nasty gal I spoke with said it doesn’t and she doesn’t know and she answered my questions. Wow strike three for BofA. Switching to Chase and I encourage all to do the same. Look they have two stars with over 80 reviews and that just at this site.***Update finally got the check in the mail from BofA. So final tally it took Chase Bank less than one hour to close deceased person account do the notary at no charge and cut a check compared to BofA after attempting to do it in person then having to do it online after I did all the paperwork and notary which cost me $30 it took over one month. Approx 34 days to complete and get the check.

I withdrew counterfeit money from this branch!!!
I've been a loyal BOA customer for eight years, but I am extremely disappointed with the service at this particular branch. Last week, I withdrew $10,000 in cash directly from the counter. I watched as the teller successfully processed the money through their cash machine. The next day, I accompanied my friend to her bank, where she tried to deposit $8,000 of that cash into her account. To my shock, the teller at her bank informed me that one of the $100 bills was counterfeit!

This is absolutely impossible because I withdrew the money directly from the BOA counter, and no one else had touched it. Unfortunately, her bank kept the counterfeit bill and only gave me a receipt, so I had no way of verifying if it was truly fake. The worst part? When I went back to the BOA branch where I had withdrawn the money and explained the situation, I wasn’t expecting them to admit fault, but I did expect some action. I hoped they would contact the other bank to verify the counterfeit bill or at least check their own cash machine for issues. Instead, they brushed me off, saying that once the money leaves the bank, it's no longer their responsibility!

This is unbelievable. Do I need to bring my own counterfeit detection device when withdrawing cash from now on? They can’t even guarantee that the money they give you is real! The staff couldn’t care less about the situation, and you're left to deal with the problem on your own. Avoid withdrawing cash from this branch at all costs. I swear their cash machine is faulty, and their customer service is terrible. They won't help you resolve anything!

Very bad customer service!! A complete insult to the Bank of America name. Every employee keeps telling customers they leave at 4:00 and can't do any business, but we got here around 2:45 and their staff kept us waiting until 3:20 and then told us they couldn't do it!! We wanted to add an administrator to the company account, and they said it couldn't be done without an appointment. I don't know why they need to be open for business if they follow that logic just for people with appointment!!!

Bank of America website and Google state this branch is opened 10AM - 4PM on Saturdays.
This location is CLOSED on Saturdays!!!
Branch manager, all you need to do is just simply update your hours. Why don't you bother to change it? Maybe, you WANT to have customers waste their time and efforts trying to visit closed branch?
