This company is a fine example of how this economy allow hard working people to get taken advantage of in every way. This company is trash, slumlords and criminals. They take forever to come fix stuff if they even come. I believe the hired help is not properly trained or to incompetent to understand the task of there jobs. And even worst they charge you PERCENTAGE of your rent just to pay you rent or take forever to take the money out of your bank account. And as if rent is not high enough this so called company that they hired to take your money add extra fee when they( a computer) is wring and they still refuse to correct which is more money. So if you enjoy getting taken advantage and nickel and dimed for every cent you have please rent from B & D Homes. Yet another example instead of calling to fix the issue you replied to my review. I guess three days of waiting for you guys to call me back is just 2 seconds. Don't worry I will not wait anymore because clearly we both know where this ends.

Too inconsistent to give my hard earned money to after being approved for the house ready date was changed for up to almost 4months with no update unless I called and yes deposit was paid money orders where sign by them before move in and was a hassle to cash after that and a nice fee to cash them if I did want to wait 21 days for western union to send out new money orders

I applied for a rental yesterday which was January 16th I explained my situation to the lady about how hard it was to find a home bigger enough because I have foster kids. She assured me that the house was available so I payed a $50 application fee. Today January 17th I received a call saying that the house was no longer available and that they will call me when they have something else mind you when I went yesterday the lady gave me three different houses to look at I feel scammed please people read the reviews about this company and don’t ignore them like I did. B&D did not indicate to me that there where any pending applications and as a matter of fact the works where still working on it. I’m very disappointed with this company and wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.

By far worse than having no property manager at all. No communication with the tenant, and almost no communication with me. The only thing I know of for sure they did was lock out the contractor that I hired to work on the house and sent me a giant bill for changing the locks over and over.

I cannot say enough good things about this management group. My husband and I have a property in Cahokia and we live in California. I had been with a different group and I had one problem after another. They didn't get the right permits, they didn't respond to the tenant's needs and we ended up losing our tenant due to mold, water drainage and non-responsiveness. I had proceeded with this group and they drug out the repairs for 4-5 months. I was talking to about 3-4 different people to get this work done and to try to re-rent it. I finally started looking for a new management group. I found the Jackpot with B & D Property! They know the area and all the laws. They actually do the work and no longer is anyone telling me I need to get permits, etc...in an area I know nothing about. Dixie has been a God-send for me! There has never been one single problem since she's come to my rescue! She is also quick to return phone calls and keep me in the loop if I want information. This group is so professional, accurate, quick, efficient and full of integrity! Hire them! You won't regret it!

Very unprofessional. Slow maintenance. My house got broken into around October 2020 & they was in no hurry to come fix my door or change the locks. Instead Dixie Said to “put a chair under the door until we can come fix it” my air hasn’t been working for almost 2 months & they still haven’t fixed it. I called & called, left messages & everything! It’s still not fixed but they “demand” rent. Very money hungry. When I first moved in it was dead roaches all over the floors, cabinets were filthy, & they gave me a dirty refrigerator. It has a very old smell too the apartment. They never fix anything correctly. They will ignore your calls. On this past Monday I guess the handy man was suppose to be fixing my air but I came home to the front piece on the floor STILL unfixed & he hasn’t been back. It’s currently THURSDAY! So be aware. Dixie is rude. Very unprofessional. Don’t ever rent with them. They do not care about their tenants, only the money.

They are thieves and have poor quality in repairing their properties. The handy man was caught on camera in my house eating my food and stealing 150.00 of my money. They falsified documents and receipts I’m order to keep my deposit. Made up repairs in order to do so. The same handy man caught stealing was suppose to be fired however she is still allowing him to work saying she has no one else to work the hours.
My house was clean and no damages. It’s been two months and they didn’t reach out about my deposit I had to go up there to receive the fake papers on the reason I’m not receiving my deposit back. I tried to upload the video and pictures of the handy man stealing my food and money but it won’t let me . The work order was for the bathroom as you’ll see but he got to the kitchen some way to rob me so Be aware! Do not rent from them

I moved I to this home cause we had nowhere else to go at the time . 1 week after we moved in we discovered there is zero insulation in the attic ! My electric bill has been through the roof literally and it's been 4 almost 5 months and just 2 weeks ago they put 4 rolls of insulation in when it needs 35 to 40 . I have been talked to like a criminal by Dixie and made to feel like it's my fault . I asked for help on my electric bill since she wont put insulation in and she told me where to shove that electric bill !
