Jessica Smith moved us into a rental and reviewed our service animal paperwork. After we moved in she said people sent her photos of us walking our dogs and claimed we owed her a pet deposit for our service animals. Not only is this a violation of federal laws but now we know she has people taking photos of us and we are stocked trying to enjoy our new home. I feel like this is a huge violation of my privacy.

When we started looking for land, we received a referral from a friend to contact Jessica Smith. Jessica went above and beyond to help us find exactly what we were looking for. She was awesome. We have since then purchased a home and additional land from her. I couldn't ask for better service. She is patient with all of my many questions and so committed to help your dreams come to life!! Would highly recommend her and Partners Realty.

To get straight to the point: the core issue is the inadequate communication in addressing our concerns. This lack of responsiveness raises ethical questions about Partners Realty’s conduct. Despite being verbally informed about our service animals, it appears they may have discriminated against our application, stating they would have denied it had they known there were three service animals.

If you have a service animal and your rental application was denied by Partners Realty, I urge you to consider filing a complaint with the fair housing authority. This situation raises alarming questions about how many others may have faced similar discrimination.

We have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue with Partners Realty, but today we were informed they will not acknowledge our paperwork and insist on classifying one of our service animals as a pet.

Backstory: Since moving into our rental property in mid-July, everything seemed fine initially, aside from a few hiccups with the digital lock installation due to an AT&T outage. We were only provided one key and one garage door opener, prompting me to request a second key. The Property Manager seemed burdened by this and suggested I leave the garage unlocked and use the keypad instead. After a second request, a key was eventually mailed.

Unfortunately, things escalated. We received an email accusing us of harboring three dogs and demanding we sign a pet agreement and pay a deposit, two months after moving in. Despite multiple attempts to contact the property manager and principal broker, we received no response until visiting the office.

During that visit, it was clarified that our rental paperwork mistakenly indicated "dog" instead of "dogs" for our accommodation request. My husband had indicated "dog" to describe our service animals, but the form lacked space for further details and only requested a verification letter from a provider. The medical note, obtained before our move to Arkansas, specified three service animals.

When I requested to have the paperwork resent to correct this, I was told new documentation could not be submitted. The property manager had been informed multiple times about the service animals, making the hostility we experienced very stressful.

At no point did we knowingly move in with service animals thinking it would be problematic. We were informed a neighbor sent a photo to the owner of us walking our "dogs." I want to emphasize that we have never hidden the service animals; we walk them daily.

Throughout this process, we ended up paying the pet deposit under duress. The lack of professionalism and responsiveness from Partners Realty has been incredibly stressful. We received a no-reply email that was accusatory and failed to address our concerns. Now, we are told all communication must go through one email address, and only one resident can contact them.

The Principal Broker mentioned managing over 120 properties and stated they do not respond to phone calls, texts, or personal emails. This raises serious concerns about how a real estate business can effectively operate through a single email inbox, especially given the discrimination and hostility we've faced.

Furthermore, the requirement that only one of us communicates via email raises significant concerns regarding emergencies or necessary repairs, particularly since my spouse frequently travels out of the area and may not have reception.
