Reserved a truck. When we got to U-Haul we found the truck and checked in online. The website said to go to the office for the key. They looked for the keys for about 20 minutes and could never find them. They finally gave us a different truck and updated the contract. We got to the truck and the updated contract was not correct online. We didn't bother going back inside. We were just moving a spa in the neighborhood. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to check out the truck.

Reserved a truck, 2days before my move U-Haul called and said they didn’t have the truck I needed and reserved I asked if they had a different size and they said yes and I could have it for the same price. Arrived at the rental agency in Palm Desert and the advised he had a truck but the rental price would be a $100.00 more. When I questioned the amount one of the agents said do you want the truck or not!!!! VERY RUDE . Don’t think I would ever rent from U-Haul again

The whole experience was convenient, affordable and easy. I would highly recommend the U-Haul services (I used a U-box and a rental truck) because all of the staff were very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. I’m so thankful I found a company that actually did what they said they would do within the timeline they guaranteed it to be completed.

The ignorance here is astounding. Brand new facility but takes 30minutes to check out a truck already on reservation. No one to pull truck up, finally get the keys and the back of the box is full of trash, the gas gauge incorrect to what contract states, and to top it all off, the brakes on the truck don't work. We couldn't even make it out of the parking lot. Going on hour two waiting on a solution, there are about 50+ trucks on the lot sitting here ... but our reservation is still pending. Hmm

I'm not sure where to begin. How about starting with being lied to when I signed up? The main reason I joined was the promise of "grandfathered rates that won’t increase—you're locked in." This turned out to be 100% false, but only after I had already moved two storage units' worth of stuff. Surely what the assistant manager is telling you is true right? Nope, it was not. In fact, nothing about this place is true. The so-called cooled storage building isn't actually cooled; it hovers around 100-114 degrees on the third floor. The employees are poorly trained, clueless about what’s going on, and there’s a high turnover rate. Their security measures seem designed just to keep you out of the unit. Trust me, they don't secure your valuables, and no one checks. Furthermore, their insurance claim denied coverage even though I had temperature-sensitive items that got destroyed. Shame on U-Haul on every level for lying to customers, having them move in, and then raising the rates the first month after telling them that they’re locked in and their rates are grandfathered. Not cool.
