I've never taken the time to write a review but I'm hoping that this could help someone that's looking for a place to live. We were not from the area and homestead was the first and only place we went to, we ended up signing a lease.
From the beginning it was not a pleasant living experience.
-We paid $250 in cleaning fees in our move in costs for when we moved out yet we received a very dirty apartment the day we moved in. When I reached out to the leasing office about this they did nothing.
-the complex itself is very unkempt. the hallways, and stairs are very dirty. All other apartments I've lived In have cleaning crews that come in at least weekly to clean.
-they are understaffed in the maintenance department, but the maintenance employees are great. I wish they had more people to help out, they were the only pleasant employees from our two years of living there. I have nothing but good things to say about them!
-they sell you on the amenities and they are closed 80% of the time, you are paying almost 2k for an apartment complex where the pool is never clean and the pool chairs don't even look like anyone should be sitting in them. Their amenities were open during business hours only for the first half of us living there. So, unless you were unemployed good luck enjoying any amenities.
-RATS in the stairways (which is the only way to get into the apartments on the upper levels)
all in all this complex is overpriced and under delivered.

Too pricey for what you get. Finding parking near your building is an absolute travesty. Management is cordial enough and very thorough. Amenities are usually closed in my experience. On the plus side, the apartments are pretty nice and there are a multitude of amenities when they're available. The location is also in the middle of Prescott Valley, so the bare necessities are in close proximity and readily available. All in all, the people who run it are nice enough, but the complex itself is best left avoided.

I have lived here a year and a half. Love the amenities. Having a pool to go to whenever you want is amazing. The maintenance man Jerome is amazing at keeping this place looking awesome. He's always a pleasant and respectful man and is such a pleasure to see his smiling face picking up trash, fixing things. Haven't seen him around lately. Which is disappointing. The apartments are very nice.

Living at Homestead in my first year was a positive experience. The clubhouse was open and residents had access to a gym and pool. However, it was disappointing that the amenities were not fully utilized. The clubhouse closed early and the gym and pool were frequently closed for maintenance, which made it difficult to enjoy them on a regular basis. Additionally, the management's handling of move-outs was awful. They unfairly charged residents for items that were not warranted. Unless there are significant improvements in the management, I would not recommend Homestead to anyone.

The people who own these apartments kept changing rules. When we first moved in there in May 2023 we were able to use the pool and clubhouse 24 hours. Then some unsupervised teenagers vandalized it and no one was allowed to use the clubhouse after office hours. We found used condoms at the pool multiple times and they could do nothing about it even though they have cameras at the pool and in the clubhouse. Apparently they don't work. Multiple access gates are broken and apparently it is too expensive for them to fix in a timely fashion despite rent there being so expensive. They leave nasty angry notes on your door if you have lights on your balcony railing. The propane is constantly empty at the bbqs. When you move in they charge you a cleaning fee then try to double charge you again when you end your lease. These people are shady and I would recommend you find somewhere else to rent or try to buy.

I will be talking to a lawyer if I have to.

They will scam you and Mia lies about everything.
She said “you can put holes in the wall to hang pictures, as long as you patch them when you move out” we patched everything then got hit with a bill for $450 to repaint the whole apartment. Keep in mind I hung maybe 5 pictures throughout the whole apartment. She told my roommate we wouldn’t have to pay anything after Octobers rent, then we got hit with a $600 move out fee. She also said that the $300 cleaning fee you pay when you move in is for when you move out, but we got a $170 cleaning fee when we moved out.
Maintenance just walks into your apartment whenever they feel without a warning. Everything in that apartment is made to break so they can charge you an arm and leg. I wouldn’t recommend anyone live here. OH, and the amenities they charge you $100 a month for, NEVER work. This place is a joke.

Great apartments with lots of amenities. Maintenance is great at fixing problems and cleaning the property, especially Jerome, he is the best at communication and and keeping things running smoothly.

Honestly, just save yourself the headache.
James absolutely sucks, the amenities are often closed for no reason, and upon escaping this hell hole, James is going to attempt to charge for paint, carpets, general cleaning (even though a cleaning fee was paid). also, don’t even think about making your balcony cozy, the balcony patrol will pester you to no end. This complex needs to be closed.
