We had a gas leak on February 17. I opened maintenance order and the maintenance person came to fix it next day but couldn’t. I smelled more gas later on in the evening and called SoCal gas company. They came and discovered the gas lick from gas stove. February 19 I called Anchor Pacifica office and they said they will notify the property manager but she never called me back. I had to call second time. Then she returned the call. February 20th she said that they will replace my gas stove with a new one. Today is March 05 and no gas stove yet.

I live at the Sherman oaks Location. The washer's have been broken now for months, There are probably 30 units here and we have one washer for the entire building. The managers keep stating they will be replaced yet nothing has been done. Anchor Pacifica / kester lacks in action to resolve.

I live at the Mountain crest property in the city of Upland. I have lived here for 10 years. I was looking up the management company to give recognition on how the new pipe project has been handled and executed. I saw all of these one star reviews, and I’m shocked because the property I live at is very opposite from what I’m reading here.

So anyhow, back to the recognition. We recently had a repipe project on our property. I love how Management was communicative about the process. All of the vendors coming into my home were kind, professional, efficient and quick.

I would also like to take this time to give recognition to Management and Maintenance here at Mountain Crest in general. Anytime I have had an issue in the past 10 years it is handled professionally, quickly and efficiently. I myself work in Maintenance management, so I really appreciate when work orders are handled properly with quality work and in record time. I also appreciate the professionalism of communication with management and maintenance when it comes to repairs and inspections.

In closing, I really appreciate your staff that you have here in Upland at Mountian Crest. Anchor Pacifica, thank you choosing quality in your employees! Monique and Jimmy if you ever read this thank you for being great and making my living experience here of great quality.

Prospect Apartments has been the worst experience I have ever had with a complex and with a management company before. There is zero care for any of the tenants and it shows as they seem to rent to anyone with a pulse. All they care about is money. Issues don’t ever seem to get resolved, I always find myself sending numerous emails to management regarding the same issues over and over again. The way this complex is designed the noise travels up and everything echos throughout the building. This complex is extremely loud with constant barking dogs and screaming children running through the complex. If you enjoy peace and quite, I advise you to not live here. The turnover rate seems to be pretty high here- I wonder why…

I've never had a worse experience as a tenant than dealing with Anchor Pacifica. Despite having my forwarding address on file, they still mailed my security deposit to the apartment I just vacated to avoid the consequences of missing the 21-day deadline.

In response to "Response from the owner":
I was already in contact with the corporate office prior to my security deposit being sent out and informed them of my forwarding address twice. Both times an employee confirmed receipt of my correct forwarding address. Whoever was responsible of the Oakland Apartments accounts failed to mail my security deposit to the correct address.

Worst company I've ever interacted with for any service. Zero concern for their tenants or maintaining the buildings, except for curb appeal. They ignored many problems in our buildings, over and over again - leaking pool, "fixing" plumbing leaks by clamping them but leaving a hole in the wall - leak unfixed for months... After moving out my closing statement and security deposit finally arrived (after multiple phone calls and letters) When it did come it was well beyond the legal timeframe for return, and then? It was wrong - $400 in pet deposits was not listed, acknowledged or accounted for. After more phone calls and many promises from the onsite manager to fix this - he did not - I finally gave up. There are much better building owners/management companies in Pasadena to lease from - I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere.

Do not live at Pinewood Villas. The landlord is a major flake. I have been moved out for 6 weeks and still cannot get my deposit back. After waiting 30 days we called to check the status and were told "the paperwork wasn't processed, this was our mistake." Then the check was mailed to the incorrect address. Last week, on 5/7 that the check would be mailed back to Liz (the landlord) and she would have it Wed or Thursday. It is now a week beyond that time frame. She will not return our phone calls and is never in the office to answer the phone. This is ridiculous. When I lived there, it was the same thing. We moved in and the apartment wasnt ready, the paint wasnt finished and Liz kept telling us "painters are coming." Two months later someone came and did a horrible job and left many areas unfinished. Liz decided to have the maintenance teams come and finish and it was a poor job. Our bathtube/shower began to peel after 5 or 6 months, they had a "company" come in and re do it, only to have it peel again a few months later. Nothing is ever one time and she is impossible to get a hold of. Avoid at all costs.

Do not move to Los Feliz Summit apts. managed by Anchor Pacifica Group. Worst management company ever! They have zero concern for the tenants and ignore repair requests. Lilia, the person in charge of approving requests is so lazy she won't even return tenants' phone calls. She is totally useless. We deserve better.
