I am just too mad not to review again. This is why I reviewed in the first place. They now want to comment on old, negative reviews calling previous tenants liars or incorrect. Guess what? We get an email after the review is commented on, so that’s cute. Thought you were being sneaky by targeting old posts. I did live there and it’s because of this behavior, I will comment again. My photo is on my profile as well as my name. You know exactly who I am, Darin. As he should. I lived there 4 years. You will receive attitude and condescension in every interaction with them. When you move out, you will be disrespected some more. Just skip it. Do not rent from these people.. I currently rent with Growing Huntsville and have had a wonderful experience. Check them out.
EDIT: The neighbor who complained about my dog urinating in grass threw mothballs in the yard to poison him multiple times in an area with small children present and unsupervised. No one should drag an animal who is in the middle of taking a pee because it upsets someone. Had you maintained the property I could have done the other way around the building. But it floods, there is no grass and kids leave trash over there. It’s also a drug area. There are no exterior lights on that side of the building so you are unable to see debris like glass or needles. And it’s a four unit building. I was not the only person putting in work orders. The stairs were requested by unit C. If water leaks in a second story unit then you check the unit below. Especially when I told you over the phone, after putting the work order in online, that the neighbors’ below me called me at work to inform me water was coming out of the ceiling.
If you rent from anyone. Keep every, single receipt, email, voicemail and text message encounter. Especially these people.

We have the unfortunate experience of living near multiple buildings managed by HPM for out-of-state investors. After many requests, they simply REFUSE to manage their garbage and keep the property up to legal standards. There has constantly been piles of garbage and debris on the curb, the sidewalk and in the street - for years. Nothing but blight.

If you have been looking for a slum lord, black mold, faulty wiring, and the filthiest apartment that wreaks of animals then this is the company for you!!! Not only do they not clean before new tenants move in, they actually leave you the old tenants dog bowls and hair everywhere for your pleasure to use as you wish! I was so delighted to see all the mud and dog paw prints all over the place from the sliding glass doors to the walls and even the kitchen floor, but what really let me know they were the ultimate slum lord I’ve been searching for was how much the carpet smelled of dogs and even had fleas as my new roommates! This has been the ULTIMATE slum lord experience in the entire Huntsville area and I highly recommend them to ANYONE needing not only low rent costs, but faulty wiring and best of all black mold! The Ultimate Slum Trifecta 🫶🏼

These people are terrible to rent from. I lived at 2911 Wimberly. They do no maintenance to the external property whatsoever. They might mow the grass once a month if that. The front stairs and rear balconies are falling apart. There is heavy mold damage all over the building to a point all out the tenants became ill. They would not enter the downstairs apartment to fix the ceiling after a water leak and it began to rot out. The AC units in each apartment stop working every few weeks in the summer and they won’t replace them. They leaked all over my neighbors floor and caused mold. They pulled up the carpet, painted and laid it back down still moldy. Their laundry room floor molded so bad the neighbor’s foot when through the floor and they had to fix that too. They pay cheap drug addicts to do maintenance work so you have to be there or risk having your things stolen. They do not clean up garbage left all over the property. They will raise your rent every 4 to 6 months. They speak down to you and send emails that are laced with sarcasm and are incredibly rude. They sent me to collections AFTER I paid off the remaining balance at move out. Pathetic, worthless people. Don’t rent from these people.

I do not recommend renting from them for multiple reasons. The first reason is that we were never shown the inside of our apt when we started our lease, because the "sub flooring was being redone"..... This was after we had signed the lease agreement and everything. They wouldn't let us have the keys to start moving in until we had the utilities turned on... Even after paying the first month's rent and the deposits and fees and signing... On top of everything the house was in terrible condition, the floors were not redone in any way, I could tell by laying my head on the floor and it looked like a put put golf course from how big of a hump was in the floor...

Terrible management company....

I moved to Alabama a year ago and after a week of looking for housing and getting denied because we know no one, Darren took a chance with us. He has been very patient and kind with my family and us putting roots down here in Alabama. The office has always been very clear on it’s policies and lease agreement. Any maintenance request I have put in has always been done in a timely manner. I have little kiddos with medical conditions, and when our thermostat went out the office did everything they can to get us heated up. Both maintenance men that came and fixed our house where absolutely amazing!! Randy and Dave where simply the best at explaining everything to me in such a way that I definitely felt smarter by the time they left. I can’t explain the gratitude I have for them. When we plan on buying a house I hope Darren will help us once again with everything we need for that process like he did when we first moved here. My family and I are very thankful for Huntsville property management!!!

Its hard to post a negative review without sounding like a disgruntled tenant; however, I just don't think this company know how to manage properties effectively. I had several maintenance issues that were extremely difficult to get repaired simply based on communication failures from Huntsville Property Managers. The worst of these issues was probably the 11 degree weather with no hot water and no one to contact about it. I called and left several messages and we went without hot water for about 3 days.
I work in property management and I would never recommend this company to anyone. Thankfully the owners of our rental property switched management companies.

I enjoyed my stay with this company. No major issues. I always paid my rent on time. I was never late paying my rent and i expected for them to never be late on providing maintenance service. I put in a request to have a continously stopped up sink and running toilet fixed. Months went by and no one ever came to fix it. When i put in my notice to vacate, then they finally came out to fix it when i was loading my things into a truck. I would definitely rent from them again...
