It's nice , spacious. But it doesn't have swimming pool in the campus that they mention in their facilities. Despite you have to pay for the swimming pool . No public transport at all. Other than that it's good.

Update: The mailbox was replaced with a newer one and our windows were fixed and no longer leak. Special shout-out to Carmen Rodriguez. She made us feel heard and was so patient and determined to help us with our problem. Really appreciate it.

I really want to give this place 5 stars but I just can’t. I could see increasing it in the future if some of these issues get fixed.

Long review below so tldr is leasing office nice (especially Alan), generally nice apartment, poor maintenance experience.

Pros:
1) The leasing office are nice people. They are accommodating, especially Alan who answers emails and tries his best to help.

2) The apartment is spacious. There is in unit laundry and they look nice (on the surface).

3) The location is ideal and the rent is fair based on the area. Please note that this complex is not yet subject to rent control so the price may suddenly increase by a lot.

Cons:
1) The window saga. The day we moved in both windows in the kitchen and bedroom started to leak heavily. We called maintenance and were assured the issue would be fixed. It didn’t seem to happen again so we trusted it had been fixed. Fast forward 2 months. We are getting huge ant infestations in our kitchen as well as bugs in the bedroom. We notice that the window is very poorly sealed to the to the building. We call it in. It takes quite a while but eventually the windows are sealed! We were super grateful. Fast forward to June. Thunderstorm happens, the windows are leaking AGAIN. We call it in. Essentially, these cheap windows were installed by a third party company and we need to wait for them to come fix it. Ultimately, I really don’t care who has to fix it but it is the landlord responsibility to fix leaking windows, however that is going to happen. It should be noted that a draft can be felt near the window which also means we are losing AC and heat to the outside.

2) The mailbox for building 13 has been broken for over a month. We received an email a while ago that said it was being worked on but so far no improvement. I did notice our neighbors moved out like a week ago and there were people in there instantly to fix up that apartment tho….

3) There are generally a lot of small things in the apartment that need fixing. Some we called in some we didn’t even bother. Our shower rod fell off the wall (tension rod) we called it in but nobody ever came so we fixed it ourselves with tape and command strips. Not a big deal overall, we got tired of it falling off in the middle of the night while waiting for maintenance to come. The “marble” paper that covers the counters in the kitchen peeled off in one place. We didn’t call it in because again, not a huge deal. Things like that throughout the apartment. Should be noted we pay $200 extra a month for the upgraded apartment….

It should be noted that they did replace a light for us once that was way too low, so not all the experience was bad.

Overall, I think this apartment has a lot of potential but the maintenance needs to be better. Especially the windows. Don’t use the same window contractors again. Picture and videos included.

Village Court is a hidden gem with a perfect blend of convenience and tranquility. The proximity to New York City is unbeatable, making commuting a breeze. I love the numerous local dining and shopping options right at the residents' doorstep, offering a diverse range of choices.

The calm parks nearby provide a peaceful retreat, creating a balanced and serene living environment. With easy access to the Turnpike and Parkway, getting around is seamless. The management is attentive, and the community is well-maintained.

If you're looking for a place that combines urban accessibility with suburban serenity, Village Court is the ideal choice. Highly recommend!

Village Court is one of the BEST places to stay in Edison. This community is with a peaceful neighborhood, good schools, clean, and safe environment.
One of the good thing is Leasing Office staff. I would like to give feedback about Alan. I know him since 3+ years. He is very professional cooperative, effective, and efficient. He is also among the very few professionals who do their very best at any given time. He is helpful, courteous, and proactive.

Update: Carmen and the third party worked together and are fixing the issue, seems to be an outside issue. Updating to 5/5 as despite my tantrum they have been nothing but professional, and i thank them for handling the situation with more grace than I could ever.

We have a leak - Carmen is doing a great job and asking her people the fix the leak, but the third party they use do not fix the leak.

It has been over a year. I do not like waking up to flooding on the carpet in the bedroom.

I do not know who the third party is that they use for maintance, but we’ve had this issue for a long time and the third party does not actually fix it. The people that work in the office are nice and very accomidating, but the third party thet use is not helpful.

Once this is fixed will update this review - but this is a very large pain point.

Lot of kids as it is closure to good school. Good for families. Safe, village court kids area needs improvements. Apart from that, we are satisfied

I have been living here in Village court Edison for about 2 months now. I am having a very good living experience here. there were couple of small issues, which the maintenance team took care of promptly. The apartment is like brand new with plush carpets. It is also located in an excellent school district with the school rated 10. Only down side is the rent being a little expensive. I have lived in other parts of the country where I get two bedroom apartment for the 2/3rd of this one bedroom rent. And that too with indoor pools, gym and other amenities. But then thats the case here everywhere in Edison. So really no choice.
