Bought a brand new Sterling Properties home in Forest Hill Development in Whippany. Sterling cheaped out and put unprimed composite wood for exterior window trim. Every house had the same rotting wood issues due to cheapness of the owner Katz. Put a claim in with them and their response was go ahead, sue me, I'm a lawyer. Thinking of buying a Sterling house, come ask us over here in Whippany. The entire development spits on the ground at the mention of Katz's name and Sterling Properties.

Anyone, I repeat anyone that makes the decision to purchase a home from Sterling Properties - is committing financial suicide.

Anyone that is making this decision needs to speak to an owner in one of Sterling properties communities that have been completed and speak with them about 'Transition'

Steve Katz a principal in Sterling - dodges his responsibilities. Don't listen to me - check out Sterling communities - speak to the current owners - see what Transition will cost YOU.

Structurally great, service and follow-up poor. Once they build and close, they are MIA for issues that come up. Be wary of upgrading. Money wasted on that. Buyer beware.
