Geuninely overall awful experience here, but to put it short--- there are too many people here. Do not move here unless you want nothing to do and absolutely no where to park. If you come here and tour during the day, you are not seeing the full extent of things. You will be TOWED away if you try and find a spot near your apartment when the lots are filled after 8pm. Sometimes you will have to park BLOCKS down the street. Please, do not move here. Also I have had experiences with rats in my apartment

If you are thinking of renting at this property, please do not if parking is of any concern to you. The complex does not have enough parking for their residence regardless of your parking permit. I promise you your car will be towed for $305, strictly cash, and also the city will give you a ticket on top of the towing fees. All management will say is OH WELL!

For the love of god do not move here. There is no parking and now there are severe issues with the heat. I called the maintenance emergency hotline and it took over 24 hours for the message to get to him. When he came, he tried his best to fix it, but there was no solution. I am typing this with frozen fingers because it is 50 degrees in my apartment. Do yourself a favor and move to another location than this one. This place is actual hell.

So tired of this place. They can't properly manage the heat situation. I'm waking up and my bedroom is 60 degrees because the heaters are broken, and this is the THIRD time it has happened. I am absolutely miserable here and moving the first opportunity i can.

I just started living here at Hutton Lafayette. Tamika Jones, The Leasing and Resident Services Consultant has lead me through this process of renting an apartment. She has been very helpful to me with this and moving into my apartment. I appreciate her and these people and I am happy with Hutton Lafayette.

I moved into the apartments November of 2021. Very nice apartment and renovated. However had an issue of rain leaking into my ceiling on one occasion where the maintenance staff did give me a bucket but never came back to check. But this was minor as the second issue happened in August of 2022. I went on Vacation for two weeks and when I arrived back to my apartment on August 19th my apartment was completely flood with sewage and fecies. The smell and bio hazard was unbelievable. The flooded of my apartment came from other units and back up into my unit.My apartment was inhabitable from this time. Not only did the management company not operate in good faith but would not return my rent paid for the time I was unable to live there. In addition when I was finally able to salvage what I could and remove items, they charge me rent in September till the 10th. They kept telling me that’s why you have to have renters insurance. Renters insurance didn’t cover my total loss. The fact that I was still charged rent for a place I can not live at is un human.
