This place has a lot of units and it is easily accessible and it has plenty of parking if you're going to come here. You can park right up to the loading dock to make it easy. You can have access from 5am to 10pm and the office is open in between that like 7am to 7pm most days. Some staff are bilingual in Spanish. My experience from the first telephone inquiry, to the representative who closed my account was world class! I’ve always found the facility neat and clean, never any red flags. I down sized units which was equally easy. The staff was always able to assist me with payments by phone, which was my preference. I always felt safe enough to visit my storage alone, that’s huge. Thank you all at U-Haul for helping me to get through a rough transitional time. I will definitely recommend your services.

The return was a bit difficult to figure out because the online version didn’t match the App. But the app was super simple to use. The customer service number was very helpful since the office was closed when I returned the vehicle. Thank you over all it was a blessing to be able to rent out the U-Haul. Wonderful service in general.

I requested my pick up transaction to be at the counter however, when I arrived, I was forced to use the app. Once I downloaded U-Haul app it was time consuming, I had to re-enter all of my information, and the pictures of the odometer and gas meter were not accurate. This process that should’ve been quick and seamless but, took over an hour to pick up the vehicle. Also, I had a 15 foot truck reserved however when I called an hour and a half before my scheduled time I was told there were none available. Then I had to have multiple back-and-forth conversations in order to arrange for a 10 foot truck. Because this truck was smaller, it required two trips for my move. Therefore, more gas was used, more mileage used, and I had to pay the movers for additional time.

The only positive was that the truck was clean.

I needed a van for the day. When I picked up the van the customer service representatives at the counter were friendly, professional and very helpful. And, when I returned the van, I had the same experience with different personnel. Quick and easy! I will definitely go to this U-Haul location when I need to rent a van or truck.

I rented a defective truck from U-Haul location 225 Scotland Road, Orange NJ 07050. This was October 6th 2024. The check engine light was on. I notified a U-Haul representative that the check engine light was on. His response was “don’t worry about it, he had just filled it up with oil and it was okay to drive. I thought it was one of those minor code infractions, that did not prevent a vehicle from driving. The truck broke down and U-Haul billed me approximately $550.00 for not returning the vehicle along with other charges. Which all stemmed from the truck breaking down! I went the following day to sneak to the manager. She did not want to and only came out after I insisted she speak to me or I would be talking to her manager. I showed her photos and videos of the check engine light being on before I drove off the UHaul lot. She said she would investigate and communicate with me. Why did she/U Haul not investigate, before billing me over $500.00. I should not be charged for U Haul’s faulty equipment. I would not recommend this location!

If I could leave a zero star I would. I have had the WORST experience by far with the company than I ever have with any company I've ever worked with! The girl STEPHANIE that answers the phones and is suppose to help when you have issues is NOT good at customer service AT ALL. I had continuous issues with my reservation every time I had to deal with her. One of the times she eventually ended up hanging up on me and when I would call back she would answer and hang up. VERY unsettling when the company has my personal belongings in their hands. Amongst other things going wrong, her terrible customer service triumphs over the experience all together. Because of that girl I will NEVER do business or recommend anyone to do business with them at this location.... well as long as that girl Stephanie still works there.

This location insist on you using The U-Haul app which doesn’t work efficiently.
The time it takes to navigate through the app they could process the pickup for you which is what they eventually do because the app is faulty. Plus they charge more per mileage than other locations.
Use an alternative truck rental company. They’re more efficient and cheaper.
