VIP is an awful company to rent from. Untrustworthy. Poorly managed rentals, dirty properties and unhelpful staff. They will take every last dollar they can, and will take your deposit, even if you've cleaned well. They charged $550 dollars for an oven cleaning. Painfully obvious these guys are crooks.

By the time I left, there was no power upstairs, the ac/heating unit was busted, the ceiling was leaking from whatever damage was caused on the roof. Not to mention the exterior was constantly dirty, trash from 7/11. The owner was a nice guy, but don't trust VIP

When the online payment service portal went down we were forced to pay in cash. I don't know if the landlord or my ex-roommate pocketed the money but VIP Management ignored us for 2 consecutive months and proceeded to file eviction papers against us even though we paid via money order. Beware of the bad father good son act they put on because the son apologized for not communicating to the father that we were paying rent but we continued to receive eviction notices well past that conversation. They also intentionally spelled my name wrong on every single eviction notice.

Edit: Please don't lie to me, I have screenshots and documentation that the online portal was malfunctioning since our first online portal payment. When the portal went down the second time you'd best believe I tried every single day to contact VIP Management. Like I said, VIP Management ignored us for 2 consecutive months and refused to communicate or work with us on anything. INCLUDING ALL THE MOLD WE POINTED OUT THAT THEY SAID WAS NOT MOLD. Ted and his son are pretty terrible people, even asked if we had a gun, probably because he was afraid of retaliation for stealing our rent.

So far so good with VIP Property Management. A nice mix of friendly in person conversations breaking down on the responsibilities between property management and the tenant. I'm not sure if there is a convenience fee when I pay rent online. If so, I might just send in a check just so I don't have to pay $10 extra for using their portal.

VIP was amazing!!!! I came to sign my lease papers and found out I had a pretty bad leaky tire. They helped me get to Less Schwab to take care of the lea, and then after signing my papers drove me back. Talk about customer service!!!! It’s really nice knowing that my property management will go the extra mile in a time of need. Makes me very confident that renting through them was the correct choice! Thanks again VIP!

I met with Ted to pick up the keys for our new place. He was really thorough in explaining everything and made us feel good about our decision to rent one of their properties. Definitely excited to work with VIP.

Living in sawtooth apartments for a year, wanted to find a new place to live after about 2 months of being there.

When we first moved in we inspected the apartment and found several damages. One being a hole in the wall next to our AC Unit. We were told that it would be repaired by the time we moved it. The repair was a white piece of paper taped over the hole… shows the level of care and quality they use. After we moved in on both sides of our apartment construction took place. For the next 6 months Monday - Friday you would have 0 street parking and need to leave the house during the day unless you wanted to hear hammers and construction all day long. Come to find out the neighbors at sawtooth got discounted rates due to this, and we did not. Weird?

Lastly prepare to forfeit some of your deposit when you move out even if you deep clean the place for 8hrs prior to moving out. Brandon (the property manager) walked the apartment with us and told us that “it was so clean we wouldn’t be charging us a cleaning fee” 2 weeks later we get a deposit form sent to us with not 1 but 2 cleaning fees attached for $275. Sure $275 isn’t much money buts it’s the principle in this case.

This management company is Terrible. They don’t answer the phone when you call and when you finally get through to them they get hostile. You can’t have a conversation with these people. Also it takes them long periods to get work done to your home when they have a certain amount of time to get it done. They should be following the laws and regulations and respecting tenant rights. It should never take weeks to fix holes that are letting in cold air from outside go untouched for weeks or let electrical issues go unfixed for weeks. Is it a money isssue for them? Idk but they are quick to railroad your rights and expect rent to be paid on time but when it comes to fixing problems they take their time in getting stuff done and are terrible at communicating with you on the issues that come up.

Great experience here with Brandon! VIP has been in business for over a decade and it shows. They are very professional. Glad too have found this company.
