We had an awesome time on our fishing trip! My wife and I brought along our two sons, ages 8 and 10, for their very first fishing adventure. We chose the afternoon fluke trip, which departs at 1:00 PM. The boat started boarding around 12:30 PM. We had rented rods when we booked the trip (seems like most people did the same), so once we got on board, they handed us the rods, and we found a good spot. There were three crew members helping everyone get set up—they took care of preparing the rods, provided bait, and showed us the ropes.

The captain took us to four different fishing spots. We all managed to catch something—fluke, sea bass, and even a few sea robins. Unfortunately, none of them were keepers, but that's just how fishing goes sometimes. The crew was great about helping out whenever we caught a fish, taking them off the hook for us. There are two bathrooms at the back of the boat, which is convenient if you need them.

Just a heads-up: there aren’t any drinks or snacks for sale on board, so be sure to bring your own if you want something during the trip. As for tipping, it seemed like only a few people did (we were among them). The tips were pooled together, so we handed ours to one of the crew members as we were leaving.

It is a small port with beautiful scenery. There was also a fishing boat, but I couldn't ride it because it was late. Next time, I'll have to go fishing.

We went on a 4hr ocean fluke trip and had an amazing time. The mates John and Owen worked hard making sure everyone was set up and we all caught fish. Very clean looking boat, very good time, we'll be back for another trip. Thanks for everything.

Great trip good crew the mates David Ryan and John were very helpful on baiting us up and untangling any lines that got tangled. It was a perfect amount of time before the kids got rowdy and everyone caught a fish. Would 10/10 recommend!

The ship is nice & clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Plenty of bait. Not too crowded. The water is calm in the bay. A perfect length of time for an afternoon fishing trip especially with children. Not too expensive either.

So why only 3 stars?

I have yet to catch a fish. The only thing I kept catching were other people's lines as they kept drifting under the boat. We had this problem before. The captain should be positioning the boat to where the lines are drifting AWAY from it. We spent half the time untangling each others lines. I think I can count on 1 hand the # of fish I've seen caught on this boat.

This is my 3rd time on here so I think my review should have some merit.

This was a joke of a fishing trip. The minnows were cut in half and we ran out half way through the trip! The worst part is, the Mates knew there wasn't enough bait because we heard them talking about it in the beginning when they were cutting the squid, but they went out anyway. I would be ashamed to run my company this way. I know you can't make the fish bite, but when a full boat catches 1 keeper in 4 hours, obviously there's a problem. I've been coming to LBI for 35 years, but needless to say, we won't be back on the Miss Beach Haven next year.

Absolutely amazing time...even with choppy seas. Whole crew were a pleasure to be around and lots of fish were caught. (Even saw a shark and two dolphins).
