I have been living on their properties for almost 2 years now and the experience has been overall good. It's obviously not perfect but they are always willing to help and the staff is very supportive. They started hosting events more often which me and my husband love and we met some good people that leave in other of their buildings. The cleaning crew Yadira, Samanta, and maintenance Lester, Caio, Felipe also do a great job and are so nice. The buildngs are always clean and maintenance requests are addressed within 48 hours.
* My personal favorite is their gym at the Envy building. We don't live there but we pay an extra monthly fee to use their amenities and honestly, it's great and super worth it. It's open 24/7

Yes, I was asked to leave a review after my move out — and honestly, I’m happy to do it. I lived in one of Gomes Management’s properties, and then moved to another one 18 months ago, and now I’m moving on because I bought my own place here in Newark.

I got my full security deposit back, and I really think more people should write reviews when things go well — not just when something goes wrong. It’s like going to a good restaurant, having a great meal, and just leaving. But if the waitress doesn’t smile once? Boom — one star.

So here’s the real deal: like any management company, yeah sometimes you gotta follow up on stuff. It’s not perfect. But anytime I had a real issue, they were fair with me. I was heard. Things got handled.

When I first moved in, the area was a bit rougher. It’s gotten better, and honestly a big part of that is because of the work Gomes does. You’ll even see the owner around the buildings working himself — not just rolling up in a nice car and vanishing.

Also… some of the negative reviews? Let’s be real. If you never clean your bathtub or set off the fire alarm every time you cook, then complain because you got charged — that’s on you. Doesn’t mean the management’s bad.

So yeah, just saying — don’t let a few angry reviews mess with your opinion. My experience with Gomes was solid, and I’m grateful for it.

My son was a resident at Envy last year while he finished school at NJIT. Aline and Eddie were super helpful to resolve our questions and concerns. Being that I’m a parent who lives out of state, I felt helpless in providing my son guidance on how to leave the unit. Both Aline & Eddie went to the unit several times to show my son and his roommate what needed to be cleaned and painted. There were still deductions which were reasonable being that they are two young adult men who weren’t the most cautious. But nonetheless I appreciate management for being so patient and kind during my son’s tenancy.
