Used to be a great place to live, but now the parent company, MRD, is only interested in filling apartments and allowing thugs and drug addicts take over!! Had to call 911 twice in less than a week!! Will definitely be out of here when lease is up.... if we can survive til then!! Just another example of corporate greed taking precedence over family wellbeing!

I feel it is important to note:
It is unfortunate that the property manager, Summer Lepore, actually does care quite a bit about doing what's right and the safety of the neighborhood, but it is never easy fighting corporate's bottom line! I honestly believe if it rested completely in her purview, Oates Estates could be the best and safest apartments in Dothan!

Good-value-for-money-place. Utilities included that’s awesome! Most efficient and friendly management I ever had in 30 years. Bruce and Angela were excellent. Efren, outstanding handy man, would fix things in no time, I never had to wait. I had to move out due to pandemic and visa issues. Would love to go back!

Well did everything he was there to do. When doing the 2 blinds in the bedroom instead of removing the old hangings attachments from the old blinds that were up there he left the old attachments from the old blinds up and put the new attachments in front of the old ones. The new blinds are up but they are not inside the window its right on the edge front of the window all because he was being to lazy to take the old attachments off so the new blinds can fit inside the window the right way. But they are up at the end of the day.

Can’t wait for my lease to be up! Upstairs neighbors gallop around like they’re horses, trash is constantly being dumped in front of my sliding doors, neighbors next to us blare music every morning at 6am. There is a giant pothole in the front parking of my building that has NEVER been taken care of so people cram in and park too close and damage others cars. People hang around outside smoking pot and drinking. Pest control is a joke I literally killed a spider in the middle of writing this review. This place is over $1,000 a month for outdated everything and just an all around trashy place to live.

I would NOT recommend living here at all. It’s an easy process to get approved but they just want to get you out here they don’t care about you after that. They raised rent up 4 months ago due to us getting a ceiling fan that claimed all apartments we’re getting and we still have gotten No ceiling fan. Our ac unit has not been working for 4 days so we finally called maintenance and they came n said nothing is wrong he can’t fix it today and left us stuck in the hot with no care in the world.. I can not wait til our lease is up I’m forever greatful but they threw me off when the ac stopped working when it’s hot outside and they say nothing is wrong with it when that’s clearly a lie.

I wouldn’t recommend. I lived there for quite a long time and for over $950 dollars a month plus utilities and internet, you can buy or rent a house. The staff treats you with nothing but mistrust and acrimony. The maintenance staff were pretty good but one of the new maintenance staff is a jerk.

Crime, when I moved in, was pretty low until my neighbor was burgled in broad daylight. Marijuana odors line the hallways of the buildings.

They raise the rent every year but the facilities and apartment homes are never remodelled or updated. Upon moving out, they claimed I had never paid my pet deposit, which was paid 3-5 years earlier and wanted me to pay them again for it. They’ve had 5-10 different property managers onsite during my 6 years there. I don’t even know how they can claim that and claim their records are current and accurate with that much turnover of their staff.

Overall, I wouldn’t live there again unless it was really updated and turned around. Look at some newer houses and apartments for rent with more helpful staff, maintenance folks, and safer community.

I am simply pleased with the decision my husband and I made moving here for a few months. The entire staff has been amazing and very proactive with any issues that we have. They do not hesitate to hear our concerns and make sure that we are satisfied with the results. Sara and Jen are the best. Just want an apartment complex needs welcoming and friendly workers. I feel like I am family when I go into the office.
